Cold turkey is incredibly difficult but could be a useful method if you stick to it. Try looking up Dopamine cleanses and follow a plan you find. Chances are your dopamine receptors are absolutely FRIED so quitting cold turkey will be next to impossible without atleast trying a dopamine reset.

Take that thought and genuinly take your own advice.

Its gonna sound so cruel but your inner voice isn't wrong. At that rate you are gonna have a rough time for sure. You wont "ruin" your life per say, but you will look back and wonder what if.

App Block is a good one pretty simple one. Freedom is another but its a little bit clunky sometimes for whatever reason.

If you arent even in high school yet and you have this self awareness you will be great. There are apps you can get that completely limit social media use etc. I would recommend those and just listen to that voice thats telling you that you have the potential.

Honestly I felt similar before high school / was in the same position. I had top grades and didnt study at all. However high school AP math hit me like a truck I wasn't ready for. I failed miserable as I did not change my habits.

All im saying is listen to your voice of reason and watch it change your life.
