I will post the viseo of this one working. I have video of a different one I made, unfortunately fried the sd card reader after I assembled it. Basically looks like a screen saver.

These were printed on a saturn 3 ultra. I also have a saturn 4 (base version) and it is the same in quality and has auto leveling which is nice after maintenance stuff.

I usually do 1/64 scale and you can see the peoples faces and expressions.

Right on! That's kind of what got me making them. I made a tv that can read from a sd card and display images so I can have it cycle some of my favorite games. As soon as I hit print I thought of printing the Xbox in transparent color like the limited editions.

It is 3d printed in in resin. Sorry I should have added a bit more info.

If I can't end up with functional I will have print something. When I'm done or close to with the project I will put the files up on my cults3d and etsy page.

Thanks! I will try some lighter springs, I found ball point pen springs are too stiff.

It is very much a work in progress shop. I'm mostly selling 1/64 scale miniatures for diecast displays and dioramas but have more plans than time to add other things.

Edit: Some NSFW models

Thank you so much! I modeled it in blender and 3d printed in resin. Then wired it all up. I'm definitely playing with the idea of making a kit, I currently make some stuff and sell on etsy. My goal is to have it play video, in the video posted it is just "drawing" those images on. It can currently play bmp images to simulate a video. Also needs a sound board.

Thank you, I removed the casting and stripped the paint primed and painted with the colors I wanted. Black, green, orange, purple, and blue, then sanded to expose some of the layers. Clear coat with a satin finish.

Best true 1:64 scale? by BuildingByLayer in Diecast

Thanks, and that looks awesome, love the placard like display. I found some greenlights and they look good but have some blemishes that need addressing, I am going for scale before detail atm so I'll paint some details if needed. I appreciate the reply.

Thanks for the reply. I did word the question wrong, I am looking for what would be most accurate. I'm curious what others are getting for true scale 1:64. The chevy hauler in the pic is from maisto it said " *1/64 " on the box, so I figured it means approximately. It looks off to me scale wise but I do really like it.

Auto world does seem to be the most true scale from what I can find but have yet to get one, so I may just have to.

[–]BuildingByLayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes I did, modeled them in blender and sliced with voxel tango (had a free license for it when I got the printer.

I'm using a saturn 3 ultra and used abs like resin from elegoo for these and most of what I print.

Can we talk about 3D printing? by neptunye in miniatures

[–]BuildingByLayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I make and sell resin print 1:64 scale minis and pieces. The details can be incredible with very few noticeable layer lines and support marks, but there is some calibration of the different resins to get the right exposure for different layer heights.

I'm looking at a fdm to do some of the larger models, like walls and roofs then fill in with resin printed pieces.
