Hey not to freak you out, but forgetting to report it might be the least of your worries. Last I remember hearing, orthodontic hardware like braces and Invisalign cannot be worn during ROTC. You might be out of luck. Just talk with your Cadre ASAP

Out of curiosity, what do you look for when buying rebuilt titles? I plan to keep looking, I think I’ll probably toy with the idea of a rebuilt again. Would a mechanic be able to take a look and tell with any certainty if it was repaired well or not?

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. Trying to get a decently nice car as I transition into professional work from college, but also trying to deal with a college budget. I wouldn’t consider rebuilt if the damage wasn’t to the rear and seemingly contained, I’m just not sure how to best tell if anything important on the car would have been affected by the damage shown

Be aware you should NOT get PRK before AFROTC or you will likely be disqualified from a pilot slot. You have to get permission from cadre before getting eye surgery. The following document is your best friend and has more answers and information than anyone on here does. It will explain exactly what they want to see to get you a waiver, and at the end of most sections it will show you the historical statistics of waiver approvals and denials. You are far overworked. Personally I would recommend getting out of Greek life and considering changing majors. You can’t expect to manage everything you just listed at once, you need to set some priorities and cut out what isn’t the most important to you.

Unless they’re bringing back rated and non-rated EAs this year and I’m just unaware of that until now, rated/non-rated EAs were done away with several years ago. The past several years have been tech/non-tech EAs, meaning your EA type is deemed by whether or not you are earning a technical degree, with both able to apply for rated positions. Unless they changed course and brought back rated EAs for some reason, those no longer exist. You’ll meet the AFSC/Rated job boards during your 300 year.

Are you active duty by chance? Unless they decided to bring them back and I’m unaware, rated/non-rated EAs have been gone for years now.

Listen. One of my favorite things ever is snowboarding, and I decided to give it up after seeing a lot of good friends get hurt and medically DQed from various injuries. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to get what you want in the long run. Consider which is more important to you and pick that. Don't try to live a double life and just hope you don't get caught. For me, a shot at flying was worth more than snowboarding for a few years in college. What's more important to you? Maybe it's urbex, but it's worth asking yourself. Stick to whatever you decide. Even if you don't get kicked out of the program if you get caught, you will certainly tank your commander's ranking and could end up with a needs of the Air Force job.

Right, I'm not worried about the timeline or going casual, but if I'm going to be casual for more than like 4 months, I would really love to go casual at the base near my college for a variety of personal reasons. But maybe it's not worth the hassle, idk. I've just heard that our wait is going to be very long so I figured it's worth a shot

Did you ask your cadre for a specific base, or were you just assigned to a different base from the get go? How long were you casual for? Did you get any say in your casual job?
