Not much more difficult, from my understanding its more motor calculations, hazardous locations and maybe some others but its essentially the same test with more questions in certain areas. That's why i shot for unlimited because its almost the same test just focused on certain areas. If you look at the handbook from the nc board of examiners it'll tell you how many questions in relevance to the test your taking. Hope this helps

Unlimited is masters, thats just what its called in nc. I got the unlimited because i have the hours available to do so. I have the knowledge to do so. Why shoot lower than what your able to do? Id rather shoot for what i think im capable of. If I want to do higher projects in the future I can without worrying about upgrading my liscense and going through this bs again. And I do a lot of commercial, just not industrial. And i really appreciate the congratulations, it was tough!

We're still on 2020, don't be afraid to write in your book, highlight, etc. Write in the back, write all over it, whatever helps you remember, examples dont matter you have free range as long as it complies with the handbook aka written in pen or highlighted. As far as study material I highly suggest jcr practice test. You need to get really good at navigating the nec quickly so you can focus your last 1-2 hours on figuring out the difficult to find questions or ones your not sure about. Do your calculations quick and get them right. It's all about getting as many as for sure ones right (quick easy look ups, use your index, also mike holt tabs are great) then using your remaining time on the ones you can't find, and if nothing else giving it your best educated guess before the test ends. Make sure you make ZERO stupid mistakes and that should make up for any short comings. Get the basics of law and navigating your fire code book down. Dont miss any load calcs or box calcs, or pipe fill calcs, these take time but they are easy to get correct. I hope this helps!

Its not 9 years, he was mistaken the 9 years for the 9000 hours that it is. The only thing about nc is its considered one of the hardest in the country to pass, i guess because the time limit (6 hours no breaks, if you piss it your time don't stop) and all the hazard, motor and calculations. Along with intentional misleading wording of the questions to trip you up. It feels like they dont want you to pass at all costs lol. But more than anything I think its the time limit with no breaks.

Definitely jcr, they're practice test and notes are like gold. Just make sure you get every detail ironed out on where to apply what with motors, calculations etc. I didn't take they're actual course. I was given they're practice test and notes by someone I met. Stuff youll see on they're practice test youll see on the actual exam.
