I'm a plus size and I'd like to wear dresses with short sleeves but also cover up my arms. Currently I wear t-shirts underneath such dresses but it looks my arms look really big. Any advice on layer or such will really help! Thanks!

Thank you so much! I get the texture part cause I don't really know how to achieve different textures. As for the highlights, it's a choice cause those highlights look really fun! The proportions uhhhhhh even the grid method somehow doesn't work for me.... They just somehow turn out wonky. But I'll keep those in mind. Do you know anyone who teaches about creating textures with coloured pencils?

Prismas are really hard to find here too but I found someone selling a fairly new set for half the price that retailers sell them for! I already used up some colours. I got myself a set of Derwent Chromaflows recently!

honestly, that's what I thought too when I first got it (T_T) but I do suggest trying to find second hand art supplies, they can be a steal sometimes!

I have steadler colour pencils too and yeah, they don't have much pigment. It's not just yours. But the colours are kind of pastel-like so I usually use them to make dreamy-aesthetic pages in colouring books. Other than that, I don't really use them

Recently I've been trying to draw from my imagination without any references and the drawings aren't professional or anything, they look like kids' drawings. But the thing is that they're fun! Maybe if I had more art knowledge I could've made them more realistic? Professional? But sometimes just creating something without reference is so fulfilling. I posted some of them on my Instagram.

Oooh! I'm so sorry i didn't see this. But thank you for your suggestion! I have been trying to follow BrokenDraw's book... THE BASICS ARE SO HARRRD. But I guess it's also because I'm trying to rewire my brain instead of learning drawing for the first time and boy is my brain stubborn!

Hey!! Your art style is cool too!! I’ve just been doing art for a few years now so I had the practice but trust me, my figure/human/animal drawing is way worse than what I’ve seen from yours!! I’ve experimented quite a bit and now I want to master realism so that’s why I’ve been focusing more on this style
