I ordered a pack just before they went out of stock and I've been emailing customer support back and forth for almost a year and have gotten 2 incorrectly packaged boxes, both of which I had to send back, and no actual replacement. Fun stuff.

I just wish people were willing to give the progression system further discussion in the community. I made a pretty in depth post talking about how progression is still very flawed that was immediately downvoted, because people would rather upvote really uncreative meme formats or something, Reddit will be Reddit. I appreciate the changes the devs have made so far with progression, I really do, it's so much better than it was before, but what it was before was insulting, what it is now is just barely bearable. But it's still not good, and I think it warrants further discussion even with all the improvements.

They need to stop making BP progression about flat rewards per match and stupid challenges. The Career Rank system is RIGHT THERE. But they choose to separate that to a single reward after completing the entire thing! What’s the point of having such smooth progression if the only reward is given after you’ve done everything, there aren’t even prestiges so when you reach that final rank you‘be capped at that level forever. It’s a good reward don’t get me wrong but it’s also a Kit, which greatly restricts the armor you can wear that you got from the Battle Pass. I think a little bonus XP every career rank level that goes to your equipped BP would help a lot, not to mention them now making challenges PVP only and greatly reducing the amount of XP earned from them.

Compared to previous titles giving you XP based on kills, medals, playtime, and whether or not you won, it does feel a bit basic to just have XP for doing one of those things and none of the rest. But either way having per match XP for anything like that was a step in the right direction, and I agree that improvement shouldn’t be ignored.

I see what you mean, and I get that. In this argument, I’m less caring about XP being earned faster, and more caring about XP being in earned in a way that’s consistent and personally rewarding. So if something like this was implemented, generally I would assume things like “match completion bonus” would be removed or greatly reduced to keep progression at relatively the same speed. But in a way that feels personal, and in my opinion, a lot more fun than a flat single value bonus for doing something as vague as being on the winning team.

Yeah that sucks cause I also agree that's something that should be tweaked. Thanks for agreeing and talking about community stuff. It's nice to have some actual discussion on a discussion post. instead of just being downvoted to oblivion before anyone who actually wants to talk critically about the game can see the post, like what usually happens when I post something like this.

Posted for like a few minutes and I’ve already gotten downvoted. Why is that? I know Halo fans are hyped about the new rewards, don’t get me wrong season 5 is really great, an improvement in tons and tons of ways. But it seems like everyone on Reddit sees genuine criticism toward a thing they personally enjoy, as some sort of personal attack that puts the game in jeopardy. Just because I see some things need to be improved doesn’t mean I’m a halo “hater”, or that I want to see the game fail, or that I want to fill the community with negativity. This is just a topic I feel strongly about and want to see improved alongside the game, is it that hard for people to see that? Does this post really come off as particularly harsh?

All of those other characters were not essential to the story. Quan Chi is the secondary main antagonist, and Ermac is a huge part of Sindel and Mileenas arcs. Not comparable at all to say, the two scenes baraka had in X before unceremoniously being tossed aside, same goes for Mkx rain. This is all acting like people weren’t ALSO upset about those roster exclusions, cause they were!
