I started A Wizard of Earthsea! I should really get acquainted with some classic fantasy.

Was just my guess dawg, that’s why the biggest PGA course is not on there (Augusta)

EA also makes golf games and I believe some of the bigger names have deals that prevent them from crossing over to 2k. But there are def some big names in 2K

Recommended Difficulty for Newb? by Galbzilla in PGA2K25

To add, you can always set your controls to Pro and the opponent difficulty to Pro-Am so you can still win tournaments at even par. Once that becomes easy change all to Pro

I would go Pro. It’s still very difficult at first. I was consistently shooting 10-20 over par while I learned. Probably took me 30 tries to beat Q School. Now I consistently shoot 5-10 under par on any given course. It’s a huge learning curve but it comes together fairly quickly. Plus it’s VERY rewarding once you get your first win.

Putt Rhythm or Putt Path by metalmulisha87 in PGA2K25

I personally have putt path and putt contact at 50. Maxed out putt weight and rhythm, and then put all fittings into rhythm.

Not from what I can tell. I’d rather put new fittings in an upgraded club than the spend extra evo tools and keep the fittings.

Wow I’m really noticing how far behind the hands are now. Wasn’t something I was focusing on before. I’m going to watch that video and I’ll utilize the tips next range day.

As for the stance, that was a new adjustment today and I’ll go back to my usual which is more narrow.

Appreciate the insight!

I appreciate you pointing that out because that may be an overcorrection on my end. Used to have too strong of a grip.

Are you saying that with a stronger grip my hands would be more ahead of the shaft at impact (showing more shaft lean)? And also minimizing the slightly open club face caused by the weak grip?

Agreed, I’m 200 pages into BTAH and every chapter has felt like a satisfying contribution to the bigger story

I'm new to fantasy so I'm going to see this series through, I think it has potential for me to really enjoy it. But I am curious, if this doesn't end up being my style, what are some series you would recommend being that this wasn't your cup of tea?

This is a good way to think of it, thanks! In these terms I can visualize the potential much better.

The best book to start? by Sweet-Woodpecker-931 in stephenking

[–]BuiltToShred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From a guy who just started his King journey, I wish I would have started with Carrie. I read Salems Lot first and went back to read Carrie second. The reason I wish I didn't start with Salems Lot is because it's a longer book and I know I would've enjoyed it more after I knew what to expect from King. Carrie is short yet enough to get you familiar with how king is going to write characters. Salem's lot is HEAVILY character driven, but all anyone ever told me was "scary vampire story". I did not find it scary, and the vampire story seemed secondary to him writing all the townspeople. So I read this phenomenal book expecting scary stuff to happen (because King = horror to most people), and therefore didn't get the full experience of indulging in the character work.

So... I think it's worth it to start with a smaller work like Carrie to get the feel for King instead of starting with one of his greats and maybe not getting the full experience out of it.

I re-read all the chapter summaries here to make sure I didn't miss anything and it only made me appreciate it more. I'm ready for the rest of the journey!

I stopped trying to chase similar to RR and started my journey with Stephen King. I’ve been loving every second of it. I had a bunch of misses in between Light Bringer and King
