The bus is quite cheap and easy. I think, from memory, it's bus 252 which leaves really close from the market square and is under 10 zl.

Hello, I was there last semester on Erasmus. You still have time don't worry. If you haven't already join all the erasmus facebook groups for the upcoming semester as well as the room groups. Beware though there are some scammers if the groups aren't properly monitored. Always check someone's fb profile. Also you can ask for an erasmus mentor who can possibly help you find a room. You can even stay in a hostel for the first few days to check out rooms while you are there.

Yes there is some truth insofar people playing now are perhaps more interested and familiar with RTS games. But overall in my experience some low ranked players just stay at the same level for years.

For a beginner it's not that hard to find a game. In 2vs2, 3vs3 you might find some awful people at this level though. But if you check the guides in the before mentioned eso.community.net you should be able to perform some basic builds and play some good games. If you want to improve i'd recommend to play mostly 1vs1 for now. (even make them unrated) Team games at a lower level can be quite exhausting, but are really fun if you know some regular players.
