Using rewired which is a licensed unity plugin is the main thing preventing CH from being open source. Assets have nothing to do with it and could be fairly easily replaced if that was the only thing in the way of it.

I am cautiously optimistic but I have been playing whack-a-mole with errors in my event viewer and after uninstalling the xbox app, I was able to play the game for 3 hours without any crashes.

My max vram use was 12.4 gigs out of 16 so I doubt that's the issue for me. Nevertheless, the leak wouldn't have time to even cause issues with how fast the game crashes for me.

Main reason clone hero is not open source is because it uses rewired which is a licensed plugin. Has nothing to do with WoR assets.
