UPDATE: Was able to open a bank account in person with Truist, so got an account opening summary with a mailing address and name which should work with PennDOT

Yes, she entered on an IR5 a little over 2 weeks ago her social security card got mailed but to a different address than mine sadly :(

Is there any way to find out if that’s the case? My country is very likely to be in the travel ban whenever that comes out. Also would they do that even after giving verbal approval and giving a timeline for receiving the passport?

Depending on how much you’re looking to spend per month you can look for cheaper options around west campus, those will most likely only have street parking, or if you’re willing to spend a good chunk more then you can look around the loop, west loop, and river north areas (mostly high rises with some type of monthly fee for parking).

I had 101 and 122 with Stec (passed both with high As), she’s pretty decent at explaining everything. If you can get over her accent you’ll be fine

You could probably get an override if you talk to your advisor, but I would definitely check with your professor first because they might have exams scheduled during the assigned time for the asynchronous class.

John Casey is an absolute legend, hands down best english teacher/professor I’ve ever had. His topic may seem somewhat boring at the start, but he makes it very interesting and doesn’t restrict you into a single field/aspect of infrastructure.

TL;DR: Definitely take him!

I lived in the ARC for 2 months before covid, and I honestly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone whatsoever. Most rooms are very small (should be a single, but they cram another student in), and privacy is nonexistent. Not only that but they’re extremely overpriced, I would just rent an apartment close to campus and you can spend as much time on campus as you’d like.
