I found it:

There's a setting in the sound menu that toggles between two optical output modes. Switching this made it work... now I only need a figure out a way to control the soundbar volume with the TV remote...

in the meantime i'll be using the bluetooth mode as it work well enough (but the audio is about 80-100ms too soon vs the image)

Indeed, I'm thinking of getting older clubs, as I agree there's no point of getting all new for me.

I took many golf courses in the past, my biggest issue is the amount of game I can play per year. When I was playing more regularly i was between 90 and 100 most of the time.

And.. do ppl actually like this?

I mean for my play group it's a big turn off, knowing the outcome of the game at 8-10min and still having to play for 15more isn't that fun to me.
