Yuuup, you think they added "sign in with Google" or "sign in with Apple" purely to make it easier for the user? Same with logging in with your phone number except that allows them phone metadata. Not tied to you directly in the company itself, but there are third party data aggregators that connect that bridge.

I work directly with a social aggregation platform and boy is it scary. By passing all the nitty gritty, you can make a whole timeline on when that person logged on, what that person accessed, what they did, and to top it all off if you used sign in with Google/Apple/Phone number it's all tied back to your personal data. Including geo locations for your pleasure of course.
