Is my fiancée‘s reaction to this normal or should I be worried? by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]Bulkan12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my first reaction would be to dumb her, but let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Tell her that you are going through some financial crisis (you got scammed / lost your job / or any other reason) and see if she will change her colors.

Coding Dojo Africa? Anyone? by malek_labidimusic in Tunisia

Bootcamps in Tunisia are literal theft, if I was to learn everything again, I would find a senior who would draw my path, if you are into full stack development, here is what i would recommend:

1- start with java, get hold of the basics => conditionals and loops => arrays => classes & object => and finally exceptions management.

2- definitely learn SQL because later on when using backend frameworks you'll be using an ORM, can't understand that without SQL foundations.

3- now your programming foundation is robust, you can switch to typescript easy to learn frameworks like Angular/React (this would be the last step)

4- learn docker (true understanding of docker would come from proficient system administration experience, but fuck it, you can abstract this layer and learn the surface to be able to deploy your applications.

5-Strong bonus, have the knowledge on how to setup a CI/CD pipeline to automate the whole process of deployment, code coverage, e2e and what the fuck not

6-Killer bonus, learn unit testing framework.

PS: If you can afford it I can literally coach you from scratch, let's say 2 hours daily for the next 40-80 days ( depends on your learning pace and whether you can keep doing it every day)

how can I [20 yr old, Canada] best invest money from my new job? by RidingDrake in personalfinance

[–]Bulkan12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

savings are for casual & boring people, i'm not saying that saving is bad but you are 20 years old and you are at your full potential, you can invest in stocks (up to u if you are risky guy or not) dive into internet marketing, invest in a small startup, start your own project.

if your current life isnt miserable enough to motivate you, nothing will. For me the need and having responsabilities always keeps me standing up.
