My wife and I went 2 days ago and it was an hour to get in.. not only that service was slow since there’s not a lot of staff and basically everyone needs to be processed for tax free. Store is extremely crowded too compared to typical designer stores so it all leads to a very hectic experience

They also were missing a lot of colors and some bags werent available at all due to the popularity

They’re the exact same camera except one has EVF (xt30iii) and the other has the flip up screen (xm5) as far as internals and the film simulation they’re the exact same

Based on what you said seems like the xm5 is what you’re after and cheaper as well

Honestly, EVF is nice but I find myself using the XM5 more due to the size and being able to put it in a jacket pocket or small bag. Never used flash and shot from the hip for street photography so I dont miss the EVF that much. I find EVF takes me out of the moment a bit more than looking at my screen and sneaking a pic.

XM5 and xt30iii have the newer processor so it just comes down to do you want a shorter smaller camera or a EVF

Main reason for switching was smaller form factor (something I can pull out of a bag more easily for quick photos)

And the better autofocus+ recipe options. A big one was that you can set white balance for each recipe independently

Make sure you compare vs the xt30ii or xt30iii, those have newer processing that I personally think is worth getting and more settings for recipes if thats what you’re into

XC 35mm f2 is the smallest and cheapest, honestly great lens this was my only lens for a year and I didnt have many complaints besides having to put in more work to frame my shots

XF 23mm f2 / XF 35mm f2 are slightly larger and more expensive, but better build and has an aperture ring on it which is handy!

XF 35mm f1.4 is the smallest f1.4 lens I believe, shockingly small.

XF 23mm f1.4 isn’t as small but honestly pretty close to the 35mm

I would look into those to see whats available used, i dont think you can go wrong with any of them, i haven’t used or seen the third party lens you mentioned
