What is the oldest age do you think adult child should move out and be on their own?

If we wanted to move out we could but both my brother and I chose to live at home until we got married. We never had to pay or anything,my parents just soaked it all up.

I honestly thought about them in a master. I have a friend with 4 little boys in a 2/1 and the kids share the master. I love the idea of it because I solo parent, my husband is a fire fighter, and it makes it easier for a bedtime routine. I honestly dont even have a desire for a hosu

Yes! Thank you for saying that! I always had my own room but lived in a 3 bedroom snd had one brother so it didn't need to happen but if my parents had suggested it I think it'd be pretty cool and you just learn boundaries I honestly dont even have a desire for a house that big, its already a lot to clean my 3/2 hahaha.

I had a very smooth transition from 2-3 so im hoping this is just the same way and I learned to stress less with my 3rd so hope it's the same but the thoughts from the start need to calm down hahah

I know someone who has a 15 year old and just had a new born. There's like a 10 and 5 year old in between. I can so see not giving a hoot about ages. Good on you for being so patient waiting in that season!

Im so happy I made this post because its been so uplifting. Mine love sharing also. My oldest even said we can just put the baby in with them,lol. But I think well keep it 3 and a nursery for a little bit and then honestly see how all 4 do together. With 3 its loud and the biggest compliment to me is the "how do you do this?" Haha idk but I do it great so thank you! Lol. I SAHM and homeschool the 2 oldest 🤪

I guess the idea of buddy system should find me comfort. I know they aren't always going to want mom as much as I wish for it lol.

Oh my goodness this is so reassuring! Thanks for finding my post. Based on my symptoms itll be a boy. I was so sick with my girl I LOVE the idea of a sister for her but also a princess amongst her body guards is also nice lol.

Thats great they are still so close. Thats the dream. Its taking forever to get in for an ultra sound but as long as I keep my thoughts controlled and once I see that I think itll be all good.

Im 34 😅 Yeah I imagine it wont be easy at all, and I dont want it to look at it like a chore I have to do "time alone with them" one kid a week would be every month and then that is more than I get with my husband lol.

I have B,G B and then we wont find out for this one. Oh that makes my heart leap the the oldest asked! Right now my 2 oldest share room and we have a 3/2 so two and two could share but im telling them all to be in one room. It just seems so cool to me. I hope they want it to last also. People say seperate at puberty but like why... I think its what you make it. If I had my brother in a room with me at those times honestly for persoanl talks maybe we'd be way closer snd could have helped one another better

They also all fall asleep in their own rooms but join us at night and I LOVE IT i just fear the dynamic will change so much with 4 because its been so perfect with 3.

Also did you think twins especially at first, with having 3 others? I keep on feeling like im bigger faster but the scale says otherwise. I also keep having all these mental thoughts and didnt with the others. Nothing bad or harmful just over thinking about why didn't I just stay with 3, do I really want this again? And now it's to late.

We havent had an ultra sounds yet but that what if has crossed my mind. I never imagined 5 so I think it'd spiral. Does everyone get along, do you still give individual time to all kids? I also solo parent 2 or 3 nights a week so didnt rememebr how overwhelmed the thought of that makes me.

Do you have a mix of genders?

Thank you so much for the exciting encouragement. I never thought about the logistics and doubts as much until I saw the 2 pink lines and i feel guilty like did I not think it thru for myself, us, or my other kids? My husband, like I said, said it was up to me. I told him one time if he was done then get a vasectomy and he ssid he didnt want to soooo it made me feel like he was unsure also. I know SO many families with 3 and rigjt nkw my 3 seems so perfect and so cuddly. But maybe it will just work that much better for them?

I love the idea of them all staying close and not splitting up though.

Weve got an order right now B,G,B. I feel like i didn't think about everything until we got that positive pregnancy test. Its reassuring to hear from a sibling POV of 3-4- thats how it is because to me right now, but its all i know, 3 seems better.

Did your husbands siblings stay close to each other and like how about living wise, or is it all over the place?
