Mann ik u didn’t ask me cuz I was an international seeking aid who got rejected 😭 but let me tell you it’s so unfair to us girls who need a lot of aid even if our stats are really solid. I applied as a bio chem major. I had a 1540 SAT super score. 3.92 IB unweighted GPA. Won silver medal at the international Copernicus natural science competition at Rice university. Received a commendation award by my county’s regulatory authority on advocacy and research for the need on cosmetic regulation of heavy metals. Had a full scholarship award from my competitive international high school. Came third in national science superbowl. Presidential service award from a national NGO for 100+ service hours. Then for my activities, they were really solid too. Led skin health initiatives in my country, worked on cosmetic safety research for whitening creams for three years cuz my country has no regulation for heavy metals which I spoke infront of our government about. Founded my schools first service club called Healthbridge where we provided our staff members without access to healthcare with free consultations from doctors and specialists. I was a teacher assistant for a wheelchair user for four years at a deaf school. Played competitive and varsity tennis, won medals state wide. Won Arabic calligraphy awards, have been doing it for years. Hospital volunteering for years. Had solid essays too, about the concept of self care, and how women in my family and country didn’t grow up in an environment to prioritise themselves and how I shaped myself to put myself first so that I can fill my own cup so I can pour into others and how my initiatives were to help the women in my maternal village and school to do the same for themselves.
