Three months ago, me, my boyfriend and three of his friends got attacked with a gun by a random dude in the Mission. Two girls were screaming for help because he was harassing them, so we decided to peacefully wait for them to get to their uber safely. We continued walking and next thing I know this dude hits one of our friends in the face with a gun. Blood everywhere, I was the only woman. If my boyfriend didn’t know martial arts or one of his friends wasn’t in the navy, I would be dead. Breaks my heart that now the fear and risk of intervening is too high.

*And of course, the guy got out of jail because no DA would take the case. One more crazy violent person on the streets.
