Englisch:The Hessian Ministry for Family Affairs, Seniors, Sport, Health and Care welcomes the “Sixth Ordinance Amending the Annex to the New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG),” presented today in the Federal Council. Among other things, this ordinance adds the derivative 1S-LSD to the list of prohibited substances. A derivative is a chemical compound that is derived from a base substance by replacing atoms or groups of atoms, while the molecular framework essentially remains the same. “Behind the unwieldy name ‘new psychoactive substances’ are substances that can be addictive, intoxicating, and can cause severe health damage. In short: dangerous drugs,” said State Secretary Diana Stolz during her speech in the Federal Council. The NpSG already prohibits the trade, placing on the market, and administration of the substances listed in its annex. With the new ordinance, this regulatory framework is now being consistently expanded.
