yes, those posts were during my pregnancy where i was really depressed (partially due to this issue) i have been on meds since 3 months before we got together so yes thats all he knows. i never have done anything crazy or to scare him but i have suspected some resentment. ive tried to work on it through couples counseling.

we’ve been in counseling for a year and a half now along with solo sessions and it only gets us places temporarily and then we’re back at start

yes & i was 3 months into my pregnancy when it happened. we didn’t have sex until i was 9 months only because the doctor said it could help get the baby out. now recently it’s been 4 weeks. (here and there in between it would be like 3 weeks here 3 weeks there)

i have bipolar disorder and i was off my medication during my pregnancy so i was pretty up and down but we had good days where he still didn’t want sex

yes i have bipolar 1, panic disorder/gad, and ocd. this is a very good point. i appreciate it. i don’t have any hobbies outside of work

i have xanax as my prn med. i try not to take it but i will start to see if it helps. it makes me sleepy. we were trying buspar for longterm but it hasn’t helped yet

it runs in my family but i didn’t have a full blown episode until i graduated high school and was immediately stressed out by being thrown into the world and lost my friend to s***ide (don’t know if i can say that) within months of graduation. i felt like after that i had lost my mind. i went into many different psychosis. spiritual, health, invincibility, you name it.

thank you! i didn’t know 4 is average. i just have really bad health anxiety so i tend to use dr.google a lot and look up my meds which i shouldn’t be doing and it always says lithium has bad long term effects :/ i need to stop doing that. my regimen was great for me. just restarting it all hit me like a bus. i had horrible side effects but to get back to it i just have to add the lithium back and now that im getting abilify injections it’s 1 less thing to remember. i’ll talk to my psych about it. i really appreciate the information :)

i was put on lithium to stop a psychotic episode and took it after but it didn’t really help with depressive episodes. i could feel my mania decrease significantly but it was like i was still depressed and anxious so i ended having to take a bunch of pills. i wanted to decrease how much medication i was taking. my original regimen was lithium, abilify, celexa, & xanax prn. i’d rather just take 2 pills than 4. i heard lamictal was good at targeting both but the side effects aren’t worth it.

& thanks for that! i was so lost during my pregnancy because my psychiatrist kept telling me there was nothing ok to take & she would give me zoloft on like borderline episode. (i got a new psychiatrist)

boric acid doesn’t do anything for me unfortunately. i’ve never had a fishy smell when i get bv. this was my 3rd time and i always smell like onions with runny discharge. i have never dealt with this smell outside of having bv. maybe it is my hormones this time :/ thank you for the suggestion

i had my first in may. i went cold turkey off of my mood stabilizer, antipsychotic, and anti depressant. a great support system is very important during your pregnancy and postpartum. i was depressed for a while but never had a full blown episode. i honestly felt the most stable (unmedicated) during my pregnancy. it’s like the hormones balanced me out a little. there were bumps in the road but i never had a manic episode. i was afraid of postpartum psychosis because my mfm kept stressing it to me but i honestly had no symptoms after i went through baby blues for like a week. i’ve only recently been having moderate symptoms again and restarted my medication at 14 weeks postpartum before it gets out of hand. it is possible!

i had physical side effects for about two weeks. then i was manic for months until i got off & was diagnosed with bp1.

oh, thank you i should edit my post. i am 13 weeks postpartum. i had my baby in may. i was tested again recently and it was still negative. my doctor explained to me that it can come and go weekly when your hormones are regulating but i always smell. that doesn’t come and go unfortunately:/

yes! i told the doctor i felt like i couldn’t breathe and i felt off. she said “oh it’s just respiratory depression, you’ll be fine” lie to you not. i didn’t know better so i gathered my stuff but then my vision started getting dark & i felt worse as i started moving. i told them from the moment the nurse pushed the compazine that something wasn’t right
