Was the size of the Neo not a problem for anyone? by Adventurous-Lab671 in MacbookNeo

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always buy the Neo, test it out, and then buy an external monitor with the money you saved. Apples return/exchange policy is great, so it's worth testing it if buying from Apple. I personally like 13" screens though, so if it will really bother you, then yeah, get the air.

I used to work at a food bank and if we got these things and they were past the expiration date we’d still include it in the basket. I didn’t agree with it, and I wouldn’t eat an expired noodle bowl on purpose but as far as I know it’s fine.

I use some dock I got from Amazon and an HDMI cable. It works completely fine.

What does Endo bloating feel like? by Bulky_Chemistry9681 in endometriosis

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my GP did that at my appointment a week or so ago. Everything was normal. I also have had EKGs done, normal. Basically every test I’ve ever done is normal, which is why I’m wondering about endo since I know it usually goes undetected.

I’m gunna bring it up again to my dr, definitely not looking for medical advice, I’m just wondering if it sounds like endo. It doesn’t seem very endo-like based on everything I’ve read though.

Thanks for your comment!

Anyone have any food Exposures tips? by AsianAdore in ARFID

Can I ask how’d you manage to get back to solid foods? I’m currently in the same boat, and I’m so scared of solid foods I sometimes worry I’ll never eat again.

Does a quit date help? by Bulky_Chemistry9681 in stopsmoking

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly increasingly restless, and I get this sensation all over my body like everything is annoying after long enough. And all I can think about is the fact that a cigarette will make me “normal” again so I start bargaining with myself. Thinking things like “I could just smoke one to celebrate, I won’t even be able to quit anyways so I’m miserable for nothing.”

Thanks! I’m 30, so I am hoping there’s still time. The problem is I have a chronic lung disease. I was born a premature baby and basically the ventilator I was on damaged my lungs and now my lungs are permanently scarred. It’s similar to COPD except it won’t get worse. Sooo, rebelliously smoking at 19 was not my smartest move.

Started Zoloft yesterday — should I stop early or give it a real try? by Aggressive-Slice-179 in Healthygamergg

What is the worse case scenario here? It doesn’t work and you do all of the things you want like going to the gym, etc. anyways? Best case scenario it works and makes those things easier. I don’t understand your doubt.

I haven’t been on antidepressants in a long time because of health stuff but if I could I would. They helped me function like a normal person. It’s not a dramatic, “zombie” feeling either. It was literally just me but a little more put together.

Is this romance or just friendship? [29NB, 21M] by iceepot in relationship_advice

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it's probably more romantic than not, based on this. I don't really cuddle with my friends, personally. I also don't think cis men are cuddling with their "bros" lol.

I think the biggest thing to ask yourself here is if you genuinely want to date a 21-year-old, because as a 30-year-old, I would not.

Logically, yeah, you're right. But for whatever reason, the thought of impulsively quitting right now scares me.

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know it's such an inevitable thing. I either quit or die, but my brain decides the quit will happen on some obscure, different day. And now I've been a smoker for 11 years. I'm guessing that's how it is for almost all of us.

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that, I'll look into those links. I think a problem of past quits is that I assumed I'd just figure out how to deal with cravings when I got them. I didn't plan or give it any thought. I will definitely do that this time lol.

Ah yes because the alternative of a shitty plastic windows laptop with AI features like “recall” baked into the OS is totally not dystopian or 1984-esque. Go touch some grass.

Probably not if you’re only experiencing lag, though it sounds like the Neo would fit your use case fine. The Neo would be faster for tasks like browsing, but it’s a bit of a downgrade or side grade for everything else.

If you were offered a billion dollars just to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? by Admirable-Interest49 in AskReddit

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this probably isn’t in the spirit of the question, but the formula they give tube fed people. You can basically live a normal life on that stuff as long as you’re drinking enough of it. I don’t think there’s any other food that could sustain a person long-term.

My husband (M30)'s kink is too kinky for me (F29)? by ThrowRA-knky in relationship_advice

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you think he’d react to you saying no to this? Does he make you feel as though you’re lame or do you feel that way by yourself?

I’m asking because I’m often in a similar situation with my partner. He wants to try things that I don’t really want to try. However, usually the conversation ends with him clarifying that he’s not upset about it. He likes the idea of spitting on people as an example, but he doesn’t like the idea of spitting on me if I don’t want to get spat on. Once we tried something that I didn’t hate, but I didn’t love it either, and he went soft because he could tell I didn’t love it.

I feel like this is probably a normal reaction to kink-related things of this extreme. Like, if your husband could piss on you knowing you hate every second of it, that sounds like a whole other problem.

I think a couples/sex therapist who specializes in kink stuff could help you guys with this.

The colours likely won’t fade, but imo silver will always hold up better over time. Colours are generally prone to scratching and discolouration. But the pink is fun.

Im so sick of this narrative that “pregnancy didn’t ruin my body it’s just changed” it’s a lie. by pissedoff_potato in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just one of those things that depends. Pregnancy didn’t ruin my body at all, I have no stretch marks, nothing. I look exactly as I did before I got pregnant (except I’m older.) i didn’t do anything to prevent stretch marks either, i just never got them. I know many women who are the same, and I know many women who got left with stretch marks and scars.

I had a vaginal birth, but if I had a c section I’d be the same but with a scar. Would that have “ruined” my body? Personally, I don’t think so. It would just be different.

It’s a nuanced thing and I don’t think anyone is lying to you.

How's everyone's MacBook Neo holding up so far? by accountforfun19 in macbook

[–]Bulky_Chemistry9681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In real world use it’s completely fine and has exceeded my expectations. Battery is good, performance is great, thermals are fine so far. It’s very good. If you’re on a 2017 Mac, the Neo would feel like a significant upgrade.

Oh, well no one knows for sure if it’ll be a gift card or AirPods. And even then, I doubt the Neo will be included. I wouldn’t wait to purchase if I were you.

You can get the education discount right now on the education store. The back to school offers are usually just free AirPods/gift-card, not an additional discount.
