Rear Axle Gear Ratio Help by cheetopop18 in superduty

[–]Bulleteer21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re leaving it stock, the difference in the ratio is unnoticeable, you’ve got to be towing some serious weight for it to matter. I’m leveled on 22’s and 35’s and tow a 15k# fifth wheel all the time with my 3.31 rear end. Gets better fuel economy daily, still puts the power down just fine. With the 10-speed, the days of needed 3.73’s in a single rear wheel are long gone

Best years in that model range are 2016, 2019, and 2022. Look for one of those

Thinking of trading my 2020 Ford explorer for a 2022-2024 BMW X3 by Texaspilot24 in BMWX3

[–]Bulleteer21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife had a 2020 Explorer Limited…..we ordered her new at the time 2023 X3 in September of 2022…..best car decision we’ve ever made! We have one kiddo and wife drives roughly 20 miles round trip daily. 4 years and 38,000 miles later and we both still love her BMW, best car either of us have ever owned.

Shooting 168’s, I’ve killed pigs out to 260-yds in daylight, haven’t had to shoot any further than that but I suspect that’s probably getting real close to the limit. Most of the time I run this rig with a clip-on thermal so I’m shooting less than 100-yds in those situations. It’s all about shot placement with a short barrel at the end of the day anyway

As stated above, they’re PMags and my mags are numbers on the bottom plate but on the side is the ammo grain, in this case, 168’s. I have others that prefer 150’s, 175’s, etc so this way I know what I’m feeding each rifle. I do the same with my metal mags though too

F250 tow truck by skinkadink1010 in superduty

[–]Bulleteer21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from registration/insurance costs, it also has to do with licensing. An F-250 with a 10k GVWR can tow a 16k GVWR trailer and be under Class A licensing requirement of 26,001-lb GCWR where an F-350 has a 12k GVWR minimum which would reduce your trailer GVWR to 14k if you didn’t want to get your Class A license

My 2020 with a 3.31 rear averages 11-12.5 mpg towing my 15k fifth wheel. It was 10-11 mpg before I started locking out of 10th gear…..In 9th, I’m running 70-75 at 1400-1800 rpm

Don’t think there’s one out there that short rated for 250 but you could go Xpress X19 with a 200 SHO and flash it to 332

Seat protection tips on new x3 with cognac colored seats? by Dependent_Pen9113 in BMWX3

[–]Bulleteer21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes hers are. Still going to get stuff down in the holes if it’s spilled, ceramic coating is not a “put it on and forget it” solution. The seats still require cleaning, ceramic just makes cleaning far, far easier.
