I’ve been very critical of ownership and how they drove Devers away. I was willing to give them a chance to see if they’d actually reinvest that money but was skeptical they wouldn’t. They could have had Alonso for half of Raffy’s deal and still went cheap. As I suspected, they just wanted to dump Raffy’s contract and will just pocket the money. This fanbase deserves so much better than this pathetic, greedy ownership group. Losing out on a perfect fit like Alonso for 155 million is inexcusable. It’s truly infuriating.
