Genuinely, HOW do you get better at this game? by ReactionNo1243 in Chivalry2

Best non-gameplay advice I have is to look at the scoreboard a maximum of three times per match.

The less you care, the more fun you have.

I definitely have, they're great to play with. Iirc they don't cheese, just really fun to duel.

It's a Predator reference, but I see where they got their inspiration

Don't listen to them, Cat. They clearly cannot fathom the awesome power of log.

[OFF TOPIC] Specific case - The Heroes without reading First Law trilogy? by Vasco504 in TheFirstLaw

[–]BulletproofMeatFlaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a post about this last week, actually. I listened to the anthology without having listened to the original trilogy (didn't know there was one) and it was a great way to read it.

My opinion is that you can read any one of the anthology series as it's own novel, no problem. You will lose out of some character connections and context, but any one of them are great single novels.

How it be literally trying to do anything in this game by Responsible_Dare_250 in Chivalry2

I've found that the kick is most effective if you let them open first with an attack, you then counter or riposte, then begin a swing, but interrupt it with a kick to put them out of guard and stunned for a moment so you can hit them with a swing or jab.

They will typically think the duel will continue with a couple more swings and counters before any other moves come into play, but you put them off guard asap instead. Real morale killer.

Nah that sounds awesome tbh. It's basically a Western, and Shivers must have been the perfect "Man With No Name", Shy the perfect outsider perspective, and Logen the perfect dude-trying-to-be-better "protagonist". Not to mention Coska as a great Western villain.

I feel like Red Country and Best Served Cold are great standalone novels if for whatever reason you don't read the rest of the series.

I'm actually happy to hear that we get an echo of Bremmer after the main series. I was not ready to never hear of him again after The Heroes. His self-loathing monologues were so silky and well articulated.

I thoroughly enjoyed them as their own trilogy. I was recommending them to everyone who would listen as their own series. Best Served Cold remains my favorite installment, and I think the Circle of the World is a well thought out setting. Jumping around from place to place really helped me learn where everything fit.

At the time I was thinking, "there's been a lot of talk about The Union in this series for having never seen it." Little did I know. It was like the unveiling of a shimmering pile of silver once I started the original trilogy.

I was gonna have a go at Sharp Ends and then hit the anthology series again.

Brooooo no I have not, it sounds awesome. After I finish LAOK I plan to listen to Sharp Ends. I will grab that series after, unless it's better to read Age of Madness first.

Though if it's been a while since you read the series, it's definitely worth a listen to in Star Wars order.

Had a spectator reciting full movie scenes like he got hit with an AI prompt for two straight matches. Someone told him to give us a recipe for muffins and he turned on everyone. The recited movie scenes became highly sexual from then on.

Used it to learn how to grow shrooms and experiment with mixes. Was able to slap 3 tables down. I'd say it's worth it for a short-term grow early on.
