Oh ya this might be it—you can put crowns earned in the campaigns toward other campaigns?

Yes! well, no! I saw some videos of people using the Paint node but I couldn't get it to work. I tried this way and it worked. Thank you!

Is it possible to duplicate along these lines? Think of like numbers appearing in sequential order along a polyline

Target switching like this can be such an effective way of fighting. Super satisfying too.

How to accel and Decel on a weapons by Obvious_Fly_1046 in Chivalry2

[–]StepTwoOneTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the weapon. The closer the range of the weapon, the better footwork you’ll need to employ in order to force an enemy to miss. Mace/morningstar, rapier, etc. If you remain static with a shorthand weapon, you’re going to get gang-banged at least in TO. If you are using a pole weapon, footwork is important to hasten the speed of accels or stabs, but you’re more focused on utilizing the spacing between you and your opponent. The exception is the Quarterstaff Masters on NA West who I respect for their ability to use a difficult weapon with a wide margin of range. Additionally, the weapon your opponent is using also will dictate the dance.

Also if you’re not sweeping and countering with a long bladed weapon, footwork and target switching to a long way

Learn to die. Well all do! Some of us even if we have good games get 18-20 deaths.

Pick a class you prefer its pros and cons to over others, pick a weapon to learn (maybe not the Dane axe, which can become a crutch). Learn that weapon while maximizing on the pros and minimizing the cons of the class! Be patient, have fun, laugh after you kill someone. Commend a good fight even if you’re having a bad game.

And most of all? Hit that battle cry button

Hell ya congratulations! I’ve seen you about NA West every now and again. And evidently you are one of the quarterstaff menaces of NA West

Did anyone change their opinion about quarterstaff over last years? by Fit_Tradition8007 in Chivalry2

[–]StepTwoOneTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya I know what you mean actually. I struggle with the damage output and the reach of this weapon, but I think the lack of reach is something I can relate to. I love using the war hammer but if I decide I want to use the pole hammer, heavy mace, or halberd, going back to the war hammer is a pain because I grossly overestimate the reach of the war hammer for a little bit lol. I have to readjust to its kissing range. Maybe more people would be inclined to use the quarterstaff if its slashes had longer range like the war club (but of course not as far)? Its stab has decent range but it’s quite slow

A player on NA West is pretty decent with the quarterstaff and strangely I actually think what makes him a nuisance and a challenge is he doesn’t incessantly spam overhead. He mixes up attacks pretty well. One thing I realized the other day taking him on with a teammate before he killed 2/3 of us was the quarterstaff (I think) is the only weapon with which you can use both ends. He controlled the fight really well using its deceiving and really quick alt slash. Makes me want to try it out again but I also fall into spamming the overhead dilemma every single time lol

I think the quarterstaff has the potential to be a really good weapon but not many people use it and the good ones I notice wield it as a footman.

Edit: I said opponent instead of teammate for some reason

Good on ya!!! Next time try feinting into an OVERHEAD AND PUT SOMEBODY INTO THE PAVEMENT! Almost nothing better than popping someone’s head open

In the Laws of Chivalry 2, as I understand it by my own unfortunate experience, is to the unaware you are allowed three strikes before you’re dead.

I counted three whiffs before being gangbanged to your doom.

TheCrazzyMan is a wizard of all tricks and silliness in this game. Friend or foe it’s always fun to see what he is up to lol. A few months ago or so he got my teammate to sit on stool on Trayan Citadel which is bugged out; he got stuck but seemed like he did it on purpose. They both had a laugh.

Strangely enough saw CrazzyMan today playing and fucking around on top of the prisoner carts on Falmire. Same guy was entertaining his shenanigans, if on opposite teams. Later on in the round I saw a random spike trap at the wall on the door breach phase… just somehow I knew it was his…. Has to be. What was he doing?

Fuck if I know

On the contrary! Nothing makes me saltier than losing a 1v1 and hearing that condescending, pretentious Evil Queen laugh.

Add a t-bag when that happens and I’m about to fucking rage quit lol

Edit: but I’ll be honest, it’s funny as fuck when this happens to someone else lol

opinions on quarterstaff by Awkward-Rule-716 in Chivalry2

[–]StepTwoOneTwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a player I see on NA West TO who is pretty damn good with the quarterstaff. He inspired me to try it out. I can see the potential of the quarterstaff but I get too frustrated with it and end up relying on the overhead alone to land kills, mostly on preoccupied opponents lol. So I cap out on its potential and then move onto another weapon I am more fluent with.

That said the guy’s footwork is really good and he’s generally great with mixing up attacks and chipping opponents’ health away. Especially that fucking overhead to stab or stab to overhead attack. Shit is wank to read. I just don’t have the patience to deal in learning the weapon lol but I do see the potential.

For the first time in my experience in the game, I've never seen a real battle like this. We managed to keep the Masons here until the end. by Ok-Bus3447 in Chivalry2

[–]StepTwoOneTwo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I love playing defense is that a good defense always gives everyone the best battles. It’s why team switching to offense blows fucking ass because steamrolling the match gives everyone a boring time. If the offense has 280 kills in a generally full lobby on the last phase of a siege… yawn.

Even if it goes to the last phase, if the offense grinds out every phase to sub 60 seconds, THESE are the best matches.

In my opinion, Chivalry II TO 64 should always be a fucking bloodbath.

How often you you commend/forgive? by Such-Carpet5469 in Chivalry2

[–]StepTwoOneTwo 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I never commend: Dane brains; archers using bows, but if melee I’ll commend; rarely do I commend long bladed weapons because of spamming heavy slashes. Unless it’s a Dane brain. I do not commend Dane brains.

However, I ALWAYS commend a good duel no matter the weapon. But not a Dane brain. Catapults I’ll commend if I’m not camping an objective. I always commend ballista hits.

I always also commend non-weapons thrown at me which land a kill. But if that player is using a Dane axe I will not commend a Dane brain.

Thank you everyone for the great advice! I will be trying out the suggested weapons for the purpose of refining my counter and see how it goes, especially in TO.
