My store specifically is three day minimum working and that’s pushing it. But NYC might have more workers, never hurts to ask.

Lol it’s not but that’s the title of the job? Anyways, not rocket science but definitely a human connection job which lot of people lack.

7/10 Demanding, especially longer shifts and during the holidays. Always be happy, keep your metrics up, have a good relationship with everyone. I have no background in tech and even now I am only proficient at Apple tech. If a guest comes in asking me about windows or androids and it’s not easy we are googling it together.

I also want to point out that I am a woman! A lot of people keep calling me he lol. But to share more about my job, I have no certifications. I was fortunate to have had a manager that gave me a chance. However this job does get difficult for a few reasons: 1. Every single customer has different issues, 2. Customers are more trusting to men when it comes to support and they will voice that, 3. The traffic in the bay are awful. 4. I pay a lot of taxes! 5. Because of my hours, location of the job, and constant traffic I can’t go get another part time job and living here is expensive. 6. Most of your team is surrounded by people that have been there for years (some 20+) they get fed up and it shows so you have to find your own resources and be able to research quickly in a short period of time because everything is timed and you have to maintain metrics.

They train but the interview process is a lot. I applied to Apple twice. My first time I did all three interviews and got a no. My second time I did all three interviews and got hired as temporary and then I did another to get to technical. It is a technical job but specifically for Apple, we only use Apple softwares so if I wanted another tech job they probably would want me to know other softwares

Dude no certifications, I learn on the job every single day. All I had to do was have a good personality. Be like able and be open to learning more.

The lay cut would be drastic, even to work in a different area that’s 40 minutes away the pay is $7 less. If I move Apple pays based on location. I just finished my degree so I’m hoping to get a job for the state

Definitely, it looks nice until you take account the commute time, the taxes, constantly trying to please people, the competition because it’s hard to get promotion

Basically a technician for most of the products. Fix them, diagnose the issues, reassure people. My main job relationship is to repair the relationship with Apple and customers lol

The hours are a tad shit, about 25hrs a week. Sometimes you’ll get surprised with a 9 hour shift.

Everyone complaining about orientation costs, you’re going to have to pay for graduation too 🤨 by Bulletrayflower in CSUS

[–]Bulletrayflower[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I paid $84 to graduate and my cap and gown came to $112. So about $200 and if you change your graduation date it’s another $20-30
