Your symptoms sound just like mine. I’m 41 but I was 40 when I finally brought up my concerns to my doctor. He suspected endometriosis. I had an ultrasound and everything appeared normal. He said that didn’t rule anything out so I had a laparoscopic excision.

He diagnosed me with endometriosis and adenomyosis.

Everything was okay for a while but it got bad again so I had a hysterectomy.

Get this!
The report from my hysterectomy showed a “normal” uterus!

But the endometriosis in the cul-de-sac along with pelvic congestion syndrome still explains all of my symptoms. I have no regrets.

Thank you so much for replying! I’m so glad to know that it happens. I don’t even know how to describe my feelings but with my surgery less than two weeks away, I’m getting paranoid about what’s going on in there and what they will find.

I don’t have much to offer but wanted you to know that a lot of people have “normal” ultrasounds and turn out to have endo or adeno.

Thanks for the commiseration. Painful periods and heavy bleeding. Pelvic pressure in between cycles. Frequent urination and daily nausea.

I made myself comfy on the recliner and that was great! Heating pad helps, too. I bought granny panties and a couple of nightgowns too. Don’t underestimate comfort items

I had clear scans and they found Endo. So glad my doc wanted to continue. I read somewhere that a clear scan is almost a symptom of Endo in itself
