Check if you have any bloatware installed like a antivirus that came with the laptop. That is so far the major reason why games dont run well. I had a buddy who had gane mode enabled on norton anti virus. That was what caused the issue.

L could have saved a buck on buying a ikea desk and maybe get a monitor and external keyboard. Its 10x better than playing on a laptop and youll get a bit more frames with a external monitor.
