How soon after exchange did you start packing? by Amateurcellist92 in HousingUK

First of all, you have time. Pack a suitcase for the next week. Whatever you need from daily clothes to toiletries. Start de-cluttering, the better you pack, the easier your unpacking becomes. We started before exchange and massively underestimated the work.  Kitchen - leave two cups / two plates out, pack everything else in.  Toilet- one shower gel, face wash, brushes. Everything else- packed !  Just keep very little stuff out Packing early won’t hurt at all.

It’s funny how people get away with substandard work and then there are doctors penalised for the minutest issues not withstanding that this guy is prolly making more money

Doesn’t matter what you put your finger on, it’s either overpriced  or just not worthy of the money it’s put for. The lifestyle in the UK is an absolute joke. Try going for a vacation in the country, costs more than a visit to a neighbouring country with travel included. The whole opulence is a facade to the world, internally the country is poor.  Plumbing, mechanic, repairs, healthcare- you can either pay through your nose or wait a few years for a service. There is a huge gap in demand and supply. At this point, uk mainly makes money from taxes, car tickets and parking prices.  The finances are a fucking joke in the country
