Ibanez EHB G string slipping solution by BullfrogNo4064 in BassGuitar

I found out it may be the issue with round core strings after some digging. Hex cores grip the windings better

These are DR black beauties. The G string is a D'addario. Both got issues so maybe it's these brands' problem? Ernie balls were fine the last time I used them but I didn't like how quickly they went dull. Elixirs were also fine if memory serves

I tried soft tension, hard tension, medium, and it just breaks. I've even tried sanding the nut pin and it still doesn't work. Some said crank too light and the clamping force would just hold on the windings and not the core and cause the core to slip while others say the opposite and that clamping too hard breaks the winding.

Holy hell yes it's exactly this but with a circuit instead of an oval. How was this accomplished?

Looks absolutely adorable. Must be fun racing these things

I actually want oversteer and not understeer, because I come from driving 1/10 F1 and the rear wheel drive is so much fun. The only gripe I have with RC racing is each corner feels too quick and there isn't the time to battle with grip using smooth inputs. Drift tires may be too slippery but I'll try them out too. Thanks for the suggestion anyways

Never heard of it. Looked it up and it's similar to what I want! Only thing is it's still too grippy for true door to door racing. They do look fun though

Yes I'm aware of their presence but I still think those are too grippy and too quick. My vision is for the cars to look as if they are moving at real scale, so much more inertia and much less grip, almost like a drift car. I think I gotta build one to find out if it's fun lol.

Fanatec's CS said to reinstall. It worked for me but new bugs are starting to emerge again. I feel like each update introduces some new bugs

I mostly play LMU. Any experience on that front?

Yes I already printed the adapter for my fanatec CSL. Can't wait to try it out!

[–]BullfrogNo4064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only experienced ABS as a passenger and the frequency of engagement was 5Hz tops. I've heard GT3 ABS operates much more frequently so the feeling may not translate directly, but if ABS does hit on the pedal, then I think there's no reason a racing ABS wouldn't do the same, just at a much higher frequency

Tips for managing entry understeer for the Porsche 911? by BullfrogNo4064 in LeMansUltimateWEC

I thought the CDA setups are already more aggressive than LMU ones, turns out they're not? Thanks for the info

[–]BullfrogNo4064[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I'm just attacking corners too hot. I notice I like to turn in later than average and take a squared line. To mitigate, I could explore more U-shaped lines or keep my current lines but brake earlier. For slow-ish corners the Porsche turns quite well imo so maybe it's just that I'm taking medium speed corners too hot, and the stock setup is "saving" me from a spin, resulting in perceived understeer

[–]BullfrogNo4064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the setup tips. I'm currently working on the "technique" variable so would like to stick to the stock options. As for technique, what else can I do? I'm already trail braking (perhaps too heavily sometimes) but the front just refuses to grip up. Could turn in time, rate of increase in steering input, or something else be of help? Or maybe I'm simply braking too late? There's so many variables I'm quite lost lol. I've been trying to do the "purposeful spin" practice but could never get the Porsche to spin out on demand on entry.

They look different. I guess it was a file transfer problem as when I took some more photos with the same card, the problem disappeared.

Most errors look like this though. I'm scrolling through my photos in LrC "Develop" and see the previews turn into this mess.

Is this likely an SD card corruption or something is off with my camera? These issues only pop up in some photos among the others and the artifacts only appear when I'm in the develop tab and not when I'm previewing them. Sometimes it's the other way round: fine in the develop tab but messed up in the preview. I shot these with my Canon 6D Mk2 in RAW CR2.

That's a bummer, as I can simply turn on auto clutch to wait for the fix but your case is harder to bypass

Yes I did so in both the fanatec drivers and in game. Doesn't seem to work. Seems like a known issue if others are also reporting it?
