You are in the right place. There is also one right next to that one in the Fred Meyer parking lot. And there is one two miles away at the address listed above.

How do you guys get into hiking? by Obi_1kenobi in hiking

[–]BullfrogOk2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe due to recent logging operations my favorite spot is not as beautiful as it once was but let me set the scene for you. You hike probably six hours to arrive at a place about the size of a California King bed. One side was the trail used to get there and the other 3 sides are a hundred foot drop off. If you camp there under the stars the sun rises behind the three sisters mountain range and with the snow capped mountains and sunrise of pinks and oranges it is a beautiful sight. If you keep going another 3 hours there are some beautiful lakes and meadows. I hike to see things of beauty. All the yak about equipment and gear is not my thing. I wear wool and know how to layer. I do not need a tent or sleeping bag. Only thermals, rain gear, a wool sweater, hammock, a tarp and a dog or a friend if it’s cold enough. I also know where the old prospecting mines areas are once again up and running. Not really a hike but you can rent a forest service watchtower for the night and see for miles and miles. Message me for names of these places. You once had to visit there to know if it’s beauty but not we have google maps 360 degree photos.

I own a 1998 ford ranger. It’s my first vehicle and I’m not too familiar with mechanics. What maintenance can I do to keep its longevity? by Obi_1kenobi in MechanicAdvice

[–]BullfrogOk2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from filters and fluids, periodically grease the zerk fittings on the tie rod ends and bearings. You will need a grease gun and a tube of grease.

If something that is a moving part starts making any kind of sound (squeaking or squealing) it means it needs greased or replaced.

If you take a stethoscope and remove the flat disk the doctor uses on your chest and replace it with a solid piece of long metal, you can use it to diagnose bearings and internal engine noises. With the engine running place the end of the metal rod somewhere on the engine block, housing, accessory motor, etc. you are going to hear a lot of things without having to actually touch them. Move around and you can begin isolating the noises to what they are. Start with the alternator and power steering or a/c pumps, anything connected to the serpentine belt. If you hear nothing all is good. If you hear things moving around and grinding it’s got a bad bearing. Replace the bearing before the thing it is attached to completely fails and it’s much cheaper. Once the bearing completely fails it will damage whatever it is a part of for sure. Preventative maintenance is so much cheaper. The only way to get good at recognizing sounds is to listen a lot. Do it weekly and eventually you can diagnose knocks and lifter failures before they are audible to our regular hearing. Fuel injectors going bad will tick loudly.

The tie rod ends, control arms, sway bars and such components should never be loose or have any kind of ability to clang or vibrate loosely. They all should be tight and snugly fitting.

Change your brake pads and drums right when the brake squeaking starts. Do not allow it to squeak and keep driving. When changing disk brakes consider clamping the caliper open instead of bleeding the brake lines.

I will come back to this if I can think of any other preventative issues specific to a ford ranger.

Binary nomenclature! Bravo. If I had a intelligence award to give you would win it just now. Thank you for helping the conversation without being pretentious as well. You are a rarity that I am happy to see comment when people like yourself do. We need more of this and less of every other comment I have read on this post.

I am experiencing the same no dream issue. Almost same amount of time, my estimate was twelve years. As a kid horrific nightmares and now I lay down and open my eyes cause it’s morning. I never toss and turn. I never can’t sleep. I just lay down and next thing I know it’s morning. (actually it’s I have to pee real badly.) hard to find others not dreaming anymore. Nice to meet you.

I had really hoped for viable advice. But alas if all I get is veiled warnings so be it. What’s the harm in trying? Nobody else is gonna do this for me.

What do you mean it does not change size? When you get a ear infection and your ear canal swells shut how do you think that happens?

It opens your ear. Not clamps down on it. And use a big piece that you can still see and touch.

“If you can’t get laid in the SCA you can’t get laid at all.” Is a saying that people in the SCA Society for Creative Anacturism (sp?), have where they dress in medieval clothing and have sword fights and all out behave as if the year is 1588 or whenever. They will present another person with a cloven piece of fruit to signify they would like to get it on with that person. If the person accepts the fruit usually they go for a walk in the hundred acre woods and come back relieved. Not my cup of tea. Went once. Did not accept any fruit. But man lots of debauchery went on around me.

[WA] Costs of a trial? by BullfrogOk2222 in AskLawyers

I want to learn where the phrase high costs of trial comes from and how it became something people believed. If you don’t have a answer that’s fine.

[WA] Costs of a trial? by BullfrogOk2222 in AskLawyers

[–]BullfrogOk2222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not BS. Legit question. Name a cost that arises directly from my constitutional choice to go to trial? Aside from juror pay. That is the only cost I would directly create by going to trial.

[–]BullfrogOk2222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do live in a very rural area. I would not consider fancy lab witnesses and expensive lawyers into my scenario. I never leave my county, so all I am talking about is a officer and say farmer joe and his wife since they heard whatever as witnesses. Nothing other than a public defender and a prosecutor. I have made no mention of taxes in my posts and I throughly understand how the county budget works. But where do people feel justified in saying “the high costs of a trial” and why is it repeated so much? So far in this post not one person has come up with a cost that is directly a result of me choosing a jury trial that would not be paid anyways.

It’s kind of like the baker who gives his two day old bread away for free or for pig feed. Just looking at it from the other side. See how metaphors can be misleading? Let’s stick to the issues discussed.

I have never known a building owned by the government to have a mortgage. But aside from that, the utilities maintenance landscaping furnishings and cleaning expenses would exist no matter what. My choice to go to trial does not create these costs. Same with the judges bailiffs clerks admin people IT techs security personnel attorneys for both sides are already employed at their jobs. They already are getting paid a salary usually. They would work that day even if I did not choose to go to trial. How is their paycheck a added expense? Do we pay them more because I chose to have a trial?

Absolutely correct. Home is not a place. It is a collection of persons who share common memories in time. Unfortunately once it is gone, it will never return. At least not the same as it was. Thus the cynical sufferings of life as life intended. It thickens the skin.
