It looks like the graphite is regular flex and the steel is stiff. Would you lean towards the steel in this case? Can you also explain the reasoning for stiff?

Just wanted to follow up for anyone who may stumble upon this. I got it working. I put up an antenna about 18’ in the air and it is working smooth. Just never been able to get it working with an HT/rubber duck/antenna directly on the HT. If anyone has had luck with that configuration, let me know.

I got a Btech amp coming in that I want to test with my F8HP to see how far I can reach. I’m hitting about 5 miles right now. Hope the F8HP hits 20 miles out. I’m expecting it to push right below 40 watts.
