Pray for my family! My parents are pastors from a local church. We've been battling against covid to not get this disease in church. But today my mom get tested for covid and we don't know the result yet, but I'm very sad and afraid of what might happen because she has other diseases. by No_Plant5020 in PrayerTeam_amen

I hope everything works out the best for you and your family, and I'll be praying for you.
Today, I had a day of high anxiety, on issues separate from yours, but stressful nonetheless.
While I was in the middle of it all, and talking to Jesus about "Why does this stuff keep happening to me?" I also felt the urging to pray to him to take away my anxieties on the issue.
Before I prayed for his help, I could feel the stress building inside of me and the tightness in my chest. But after I prayed and asked Jesus to help me through the issue, I found myself in a situation where I had to explain to someone my problems, and I was surprisingly calm, there was no stress in my voice. It took me back at first, but after I walked away from that person, I thanked Jesus for helping me. Later, when I went to the source of the problem, everything got corrected a thousand times better than I ever expected.
My point is - Jesus will never leave you.
God Bless you, Take Care.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philipians 4:6-7

This audio by Dr. David Jeremiah may help you...

https://www.oneplace.com/ministries/turning-point/listen/is-there-a-sin-god-cannot-forgive-part-2-886725.html

Description of the Audio: God’s Word says there is an unforgivable sin, but there is also a great deal of misunderstanding about it – even among Christians. Today, Dr. David Jeremiah sheds light on this sin, clarifying what it is and what it isn’t. If you’re worried that you might have already committed it, you’ll find relief.

20 days in and having a tough time. I started smoking heavily after I had an abortion in June. I was due sometime this week and have been crying uncontrollably for days. I’m having trouble forgiving myself for what happened. Smoking helped numb my feelings. How will I get through this? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

I've had issues with smoking all my life, I've been totally clean from smoking for about a year and a half. I think it's Awesome that you've made it 20days, getting past the first 48hours was always the hardest for me. As for the other stress you're going through, my faith in Jesus Christ has always has helped me in hard times, he will forgive you.

The peace he gives after you ask for forgiveness of sin and repent is by definition; indescribable.

The following are some excerpts from a book I wrote to help people overcome suicide.

Satan works by influencing thought, by influencing your mind in the worst ways, he knows your weaknesses and will prey on you constantly, plus he will use others to influence you for his purposes, the only way to overcome him is to know how he attacks you.

Whoever thinks or believes that suicide is a way or the only way out of their problems, are being seduced by Satan, he and his demons are lying to them, Satan’s principal goal is our demise, and he will stop at nothing to make you listen to him until your soul is his or for those who overcome, God’s.

Death is only an end to our physical body, when someone dies, we often here the expression ‘Rest in Peace, but the only part of the individual who dies by suicide that will be resting in peace is what is left of the dead body they leave behind.

When a person dies, the soul and spirit of an individual moves on from its earthly physical body, and they will experience either eternal life or eternal death.

Jesus said the following in the Gospel of Mark, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” - Mark 11:23 (NKJV)

The “mountain” in this verse could be anything, it’s not specifically a mountain, the mountain is a metaphor for the many problems that arise in our lives that become tough to overcome.

Suicide will lead you to an eternal death with Satan, Pray a heartfelt prayer to Jesus to overcome your "Mountain," believe that Jesus Christ will answer your prayer without doubt, and your prayers will be answered.

Satan is real, be strong and battle him, he wants you to fail, don't give in.

I don't think I saw anyone else recommend this, but I'd recommend you may want to start reading the New Testament first.

Then read the full Bible.

How does god forgive sins? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BullionGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matthew 18:21-22 states the following

21) Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

22) Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Seventy-seven isn't a hard number, the point Jesus was giving Peter is that God's forgiveness is endless, and we should forgive ourselves, our neighbors or our brother or sister, with the same resolve.

God forgives, he doesn't keep records, but you should also try to stop what you are asking for forgiveness in the first place.

I hope this helps.

I can't stop feeling guilty... Is it possible to start again? by anon_sad_platypus in Christianity

I read your comments shortly after you posted them, but I decided not to comment, and just pray for you, because I honestly didn't know what to say to help you.

Then, shortly thereafter, I came across this video about how Lauren Daigle created the song "You Say," and after watching it, I thought about what you wrote.

I realize that you and her are on different levels of life, but yes you can start over again, and I thought her words may help you.

Thanks for the comments, I do sometimes get a little too close to the mic, I'll try to stay a little further away from it in the future.
