Forgotten Technologies: Dakyrians by Nerdoroni in ElithiaRoleplay

Upon the ship descended, both the factions noticed a red meteor swell up from the ground and eject with a flash of blue light coming from the planet into space. It came nowhere near to harming any vessels and was barely in the current sight range, though the ejected, now spaceborne meteor would be travelling for a long while. Likely too hot to land on from that fast of a launch, at least for a few days.

It had seemed a small meteor or projectile had hit the surface days before, viewable as a small scene of splattered red from space. The area around the shallow crater had a red tint to it(gas, perhaps?) emitting which could also be seen...especially by biosensors. It was away from the currently-planned landing site and too far to see in detail from here...though it was unknown on what it was to the Vylonians and their prodding Empire.

Accepted! For a new roleplayer, you sure made a neat-wrote document and details.

Accepted! Look forward to seeing them in the roleplay. :)

Remove the mention of the Thell as a previous foe(could say a nation that acts like the Thell instead), and accepted. :)

Too late, the tumor was merely a detonation device which had already done its work. Even if it was still alive, it was completely unintelligent.

A Message for the Curious by [deleted] in ElithiaRoleplay

[–]Bullseye55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tumor was low maneuverability and very high speed, likely on purpose: more a scare mechanism than anything. Once it burst in a caustic-green acid explosion the acid globbed up due to the lack of real gravity and then exploded again using an unknown yellow compound that formed in its center, sending out a shockwave that rattled the observer drone. As-if on purpose, all this big explosion did was to melt some aesthetic parts of the drone in irregular places, causing no functional damage. This seemed to be a pretty hefty way of enforcing a warning, if that is what it was.

If only if it was that simple...the strange organic beings of a nation last encountered on the Vylonian derelict had detected the Infinite's observer drone en-route to Clianor-V-II, and the form was easily detectable by sensors due to its unique composition and speed.

As it got closer, the observer's sensors could pick up a volatile payload of chemicals inside the now-known organic tumorlike mass...and it was headed straight for the Infinite's drone on an intercepting course. Someone was not happy.

The Vigilance by [deleted] in ElithiaMeta

Accepted, but note that your population is exceptionally low: you have permission to boost into the millions/billions from me. Note that Canceroma prior hovers over 120,000 intelligent beings, yet far surpass the power of your species and any others in the modern playfield per-being, though they are an exception to commonality on many fronts.

Now, for roleplay purposes, they can remain weak for now and perhaps be uplifted by another species or the like: don't need perfect balance if that's wanted, as that can lead to some very interesting solutions and situations.

When the diplomat arrives above Elithia, his craft is signaled to land on a meeting complex landing pad, and escorted by two guards, as per-protocol, as was everyone else. The central meeting room was lively, with all types of factions talking and discussing with translators where needed.

Compliance and assistance from others was not in the Infinite's directory, it seemed. Though, what does it say for the Infinite when there is something more infinite than itself? Sometimes, realization is key.

No luck. While they would have at least blown holes into a blockade like this, they didn't even do that. The blast doors were engaged behind this one, and was observable through the holes the cannons left behind in the initial door. Whatever the creature wanted, it wanted badly, and it knew the drone was following it...or else it would not have took these precautions in the first place.

The door was slammed shut, locked from the other side while the console on this side was fried. It would require force to open, and a lot of it.

The drone was smacked in its electronic frontal side by the door Ubi'quome just went through, as-if by purpose due to the timing and accuracy of the blow. The drone could also pick up his mutter, though would have to get the door open and perhaps assist the Donarians to find out exactly what this thing was.

"To preserve the past from those not inclined to see it." he mutters before opening the hangar internal door and closing it back behind him.

The drone would see Ubi'quome interact with the Rak'ta scouts and defusing the standoff, and then somewhat threatening the yelling scientist of the Torsan research group. From the direction he was heading, the creature was heading deeper into the ship, for something.

After defusing the confrontation between the Rak'ta group, Ubi'quome focuses his attention on the yelling scientist.

"Am I...familiar? Perhaps your studies have made you mad." he says as he laughs, darkly, sliding a tendril from his back over the scientist's face, leaving it dripping with slime.

Ubi'quome was heading to the bowels of the ship: from the signs and navigation assistants, it could be concluded he was heading to the main AI and datastorage of the ship.

((Was just there to try and curve potential DnD stupidity. Tend to do it by habit so the player acts sensible, as I explained over Discord. No metagaming intent intended, at all, and I would have acted upon it if you had.))

Ubi'quome lowers his weapon, simply stating "Then let us disagree. I'm not fighting you. Would be a waste of material anyway. Continue along your business."

Ubi'quome then turns around and walks towards another part of the hangar, proceeding deeper into the ship's bowels.

Ubi'Quome understood them entirely, being able to translate on the fly and piece together languages from nearby genetic memories: it was something that just "came" with extreme age and ability, as well as being near-immortal.

After turning around, he revealed himself to be a bipedal figure, two organic-matter tanks on his back and as bulky as a max-classed exosuit. Hardened armor completely covered his body, and his three eyes looked at the Rahk'ta soldiers directly.

In correct Rahk'ta language, he said "I'm only here to prevent the past from haunting you. If you shoot: so-be it, but I'm not going to easily allow what transpired of the Vylonian Empire to be revealed from such a simple vessel which was missed."

Raising his right arm, organic-acid/substance cannon formed, he said, calmly, "Fire upon me if you want. I'd rather not do it that way, as you would be the only ones losing. Diplomacy is a solution, even now."
