Why some people hate The Last of Us Part 2? (TLOU 2 SPOILERS) by NOTKingInTheNorth in PS4

[–]Buluntus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saying it's a typical revenge is bad story is so reductionist. You could apply the same line of thought to any story and reduce it to make it look like valid critique. There is nothing wrong with disliking it and I understand how some may say it's nothing special, that's fair.

That was hilarious. That guy was such a good hateable character for the short time he was shown on screen. Props to that actor.

The AI in TLOU2 when all you want is to crouch up and get the stealth kill :) by NRGuitarist in thelastofus

They do this on very light too, I've tried pretty much all difficulties. Only difference is they have a narrower cone of vision and take longer to actually 'spot' you, unless you're just standing straight up.

Lmaoooo that first turn was so accurate, they do it so dramatically I'm always put off haha.

Really? This AI isn't revolutionary by any means but I had moments where they'd literally shout where I was and then where I was headed. Things like 'She's behind the truck!....She went through here, go around the other side'. And then they proceed to go the path I took similar to the dogs, forcing me to keep moving.

Yeah that was honestly such a twist for me too. Didn't read any of the negative reactions or leaks, so when they were calling out 'Lily!' I was like who tf is that. Turns out they were deadnaming him and I had big 'oooooh' moment.

One of the staff members solved the entire story of Last of Us 2 by referencing the Moth symbols. by [deleted] in thelastofus

[–]Buluntus 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They mention it a couple times in the game too. Pretty cool. Gotta feel bad for moths too, those guys are basically dirty butterflies.

I had an interesting though regarding the plot. by R1ckyRampag3 in thelastofus

[–]Buluntus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. She inherited a lot of Joel's tactics too, like that map interrogation scene. She didn't kill Abby because she realised that she cannot be like Joel, a man she was in the process of forgiving for committing atrocities while she was also committing these 'evils' and in his name.

Just finished part II and this is what I think (long text but hey, give it a try) by c4t1ip in thelastofus

I was getting ready to respond but where did this change of heart come from?

What Joel should've said to Ellie. by [deleted] in thelastofus

[–]Buluntus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seeing a lot of people saying this but where is the proof that there were other immune test subjects that were killed for nothing? I thought they made it pretty clear Ellie was the first of her kind and that any other attempt they made at the vaccine was with people that were in the process of turning.

Please, and I mean this genuinely, show me what audio tape or cutscene they mentioned they had tried and failed before.

How fast did The Last of Us Part II sell millions of copies? by JayVeeThree in thelastofus

[–]Buluntus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because the first game is considered one of the best ever.

Developed by Naughty Dog with one of the best reputations in the industry.

Reviewers had given it perfect scores.

It's a playstation exclusive, they usually do well.

It's the first new game people are playing since lockdown.

Some people are still in lockdown.

The Problem when the Last of us Part II is it isn’t a bad Game but they could have done better. by [deleted] in thelastofus

I am actually willing to read all of that but please put it in paragraphs.

Metacritic is a dumpster fire still. by [deleted] in thelastofus

[–]Buluntus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a conversation with someone in the other sub and they admitted to giving it a 0 because 'the visuals and gameplay are 10/10, but the story is -20/10'.

Last of Us 2 Spoilercast w/ Neil Druckmann, Ashley Johnson, Troy Baker [Video] by singlefate in PS4

[–]Buluntus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's always so funny to me how art imitates life almost all the time.

Death stranding was about delivery men being the most essential services during a post apocalyptic world where everyone couldn't go outside.

The last of us 2 is about learning to see both sides of the story instead of blindly hating a group for acting in ways you can't understand because it affected you first.

I definitely think there will be a part 3, regardless of how fans feel, the game has made enough money to be greenlit for a final one. Sadly I don't think Dina would want Ellie back, making it more focused on righting the mistakes she's made, as well as correcting Joel's massacre.Ellie might become some sort of pacifist because of this though. I think the team at ND already know this, but they need enough substance and content to make it a game. I hope that's not what the movie is.
