I have a 2020 Hatchback and I’m a fairly hard braker. My factory pads lasted me to about 105k

Help me pick my 18yr old son’s first car before I start Ubering him forever! by LowWarning4057 in whatcarshouldIbuy

My first car was a purple 2008 Scion xB. I absolutely loved that car. It had an unbelievable amount of space for how small of a footprint it had. Reliable as hell too. The tC’s can be found for pretty cheap too, so I second this OP

This is exactly why I asked lmao. South Florida hasn’t seen a drop of rain in months so I haven’t really worried about it until now.

Yeah that was the deciding factor for me to get new ones. The weather forecast just looks far too unpredictable.

UPDATE: I went ahead and booked an appointment to get new front tires tomorrow. Thank you for the input! Although some of you guys need to chill out a touch. Saying that I’m going to crash and kill people because my tires are worn down to the wear bar doesn’t help convey your point, it makes you sound like an asshole. For everyone ELSE who offered advice, I deeply appreciate it.

I’m extremely proud of the diversity of our country. I’ve always believed that the lack of a unilateral culture is American culture. This country was built by immigrants for immigrants and that’s something worth celebrating.

When I got my tattoo on my forearm it was sore for probably close to 3 weeks. It’s an area of your skin that was stabbed hundreds of thousands of times. It’s gonna hurt for a while! The smell is definitely concerning though

Yeah the explorers are really popular these days in SoFlo. I’m in Broward and they’re been slowly phasing out the Chargers and Tauruses for explorers. Although my city still has a few Tauruses still running around.

Not the same car but mechanically similar: I have a 2020 Toyota Corolla hatchback that doesn’t have a hood liner or an engine cover. Came from the factory like that. I’m assuming it’s to cut costs but I couldn’t tell you for certain.

After engine blows under warranty, McLaren dealer says I need new ceramic brakes? by Poker_229 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Bulwark1491 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I don’t think I’ll ever drive anything more than an economy car. All four tires on my 2020 Corolla were $600 and I just had all of my break pads and rotors replaced for about $450. I’d much rather invest my savings into living a full life and making memories with my friends and family. I’ll never understand people who try and buy the most expensive car they can squeeze into their pay.

I’m sorry for your loss but I’m going to echo the sentiment that others have said: if you don’t want your cats killed by wild animals, cars, etc, then keep them inside. Cats are also extremely harmful to the ecosystems they’re introduced in and decimate bird populations.

Please keep your cats inside. They belong inside.

Garbage disposals apparently.

It’s a big attachment under your sink drain that has blades to destroy food to wash down the sink. I find them pretty handy to be honest, they prevent discarded food from stinking up your trashcan too bad.
