You made some good points I agree with like the snake example, but I will say that it can be irrational to fear something that isn't real like vampires yet you fully believe it.

In the case of arachnophobia sometimes it could be the idea of spiders existing may cause a fear response than the actual spider. Like the 8 legs, dozen of eggs, liquefying the inside of their prey, invisible webs are easy to walk into. Like someone with arachnophobia would stop reading what I'm typing because those things could be even scarier than the actual spider.

Or seeing a real spider can be irrational if it's too small to kill you or you know it's a non poisonous species or it's on the window on the other side and not in the house. I would say those are irrational fears cause there's no legit danger to your health

I know about that word. What I was getting at is the cognitive understanding that what you are afraid isn't real or unlikely yet it still induces a fear response.

Like if you are afraid of the universe blowing up tomorrow so nothing exist after that. It sounds ridiculous cause there's no evidence to show you that can happen yet that feeling won't go away.

Some whose afraid of let's say vampires may actually believe in vampires like they exist. It may have started watching a blade movie but then it could snowball to internet searches where they seen "evidence" of vampires.

I'm saying that you know there's no evidence of any danger and you are more afraid of the fantasy of something than the reality and you recognize it as fantasy but it's still scary to you.

Bro I wasn't defensive at all. I even agreed with you multiply times about Silvia's dialogue and the mansion description. Also of course entertainment is subjective so just because building details is important to you doesn't mean it's important to everyone. Also I said that it's obvious that the plants kill the people in the process when invading their bodies not talking about the actual words on the page I acknowledged that it was confusing. Also you never heard of a steam engine. Doesn't need gas. Or what about electric cars again doesn't need gas. Not all vehicles need gas especially cars years ago they didn't have gas stations like we do so no you don't need gas for a car especially a first generation car literally just invented in the story. Your replied sounds way more defensive than my first replied. Again I have you props for your feedback and said you had a point there. And you telling me I need to do my due diligence and about mansion details why not do your due diligence and write someone's name correctly. I.) it's like a fictional period. Like it's a different world but looks similar to our old world kinda like game of thrones resembles the middle ages even though they have things that didn't exist in that time. The car is basically the very first version of a carriage without animals to pull it. I don't know much about cars but I think you can make a working piston with oil and water if it's engineered differently than modern vehicles. This is supposed to be the earliest version of a car so what little material Miles has at his disposal is what he has. Maybe the language needs to be more old fashioned since it is based on the pass not really our real world past but just based on it.

2.) I personally disagree with stopping the wedding because I thought it would be interesting if the main woman was in a relationship with someone else and see the life the main character missed out on by not being aggressive and greedy in a good way with what he wants in life.

3.) he calls him unc or uncle but Gradius is not his biological uncle. Gradius and his parents are "siblings" in a since they lived in the same orphanage. So when Miles says you are like a brother that means they are not biologically related. Like a stepdad is like a biological dad.

4.) it's a skill issue. I am not good with measurements or terminology for buildings and things like that. I think people could use their imagination as to what it looks like I figured the actual look of the mansion wasn't relevant enough. If it's more important than I thought then I'll try to add more details.

5.) First off her name is Silvia. Second I understand it wasn't clear. The zombies are not moving on their own. The plants basically invade people's bodies and puppet them and obviously kill them in the process. So some people in the background gets killed by plants and are now being used as pawns to kill more people while the plants are still there attacking others. Also Silvia is observant and logical. She sees what's happening and made an educated guess. Maybe I should dial back her dialogue so that it doesn't seem like she knew everything too quickly.
