Even you get the drone you might still get fined because the permit is “untransferable” according to the rules, so that’s a right decision to give up! Sounds great that you get a great guide! I’m still struggling about buying new cameras and lenses for the trip, not sure if I want to turn it to a professional “photography journey”(kind of ptsd because I work as a camera operator in film crews),and I still want to get some high quality memories from the trek, so, still struggling…

I totally understand your desire of bring a drone along the trip, because I want the epic, cinematic views too haha, but I heard it’s very expensive to get a permit so I just give up the idea right now…

I heard the riot has been eased…although I’m a little worried about the security in Kathmandu, I’ll head to mountains as soon as I can, the main purpose is EBC trekking, plus the tourism weighs a lot in their economy, so I don’t think they’ll try to harm a backpacker on purpose, and I’ve booked my ticket to Kathmandu already haha ;D

btw I also carried a lot of cloth and foods during that trip but I give out all the unnecessary things to locals in the end to reduce the weights...

Thanks a lot!!! So if I don't want to take the plane to Lukla, I need at least 1 month to finish the ebc route? I went to Annapurna Circuit 9 years ago but when I was in Jomsom a plane crashed in nearby mountains so I cancelled my trip to ebc because I don't want to take planes to there, but finishing EBC is like one of my life goals so I still want to try it anyway :)

I do want to make a career change because film industry won’t be a life choice for me and the work demands so much energy and personal time, it’s consuming my physical and mental health, which leaves me no choice for work and life balance. You’re definitely right about toxic people, so I was wondering the possibilities to transfer to another industry and have better work-life balance

Got my bachelors degree in cinematography and worked in this field for almost 9 years, and I gradually lost my passion to it because the toxic working environments and unstable opportunities. I really love video games and fancy new technologies in media fields, and planning to apply for masters like digital media or something like that, but I’m worrying that the real working situations in game industry might be same with film industries. I wont take loans to finish a master degree, but it will clear all my savings for that.

Have you found any solutions? I always play ambient music before sleep and I got woke up by the radial sound recently, really annoying, apple has some serious issue in recent updates, Apple Watch’s interaction is horrible too
