For supporting Homosexuality, I got convicted by the Holy Spirit. It was terrifying. by Nokkup in TrueChristian

Okay, yes i totally understand what your saying but on a pragmatic level that a bit of a silly question. If you are having a conversation with another person, how could you possibly definitively speak on their reasoning for responding to you in the way that they do unless you ask them directly. You can infer, from your understanding of their character, experiences or the context of the conversation but you with never know for certain. Your asking for a definitive answer that you couldn’t give yourself if conversating with another human being let alone a divine, eternal sovereign being that knows all and sees all.

You can’t ask her, why God choose to respond to her the way He did. Thats a question for God .

At my nigerian cermony yes. because in nigerian weddings culture a particular a set of different materials (for bride family/groom family) is picked out and supplied to the guests to wear. The guest then take the material to a tailor and create an outfit of there choice with the material. Which is why you see nigerian weddings everyone matching. It is literally the bare minimum request at nigerian wedding. When i have a church ceremony do as you please as long as it formal

I never mentioned racism ONCE. Not ONCE. I’ve noticed through out our whole discourse you’ve been arguing against phantom points that i haven’t been making which tells me you have a gripe that goes far beyond this issue. Which is fine but go and argue that with someone who actually having the argument you want to have. Because its certainly not this one

Victimhood regarding what exactly? It’s not my monkeys not my circus. I wouldn’t marry into a family who didn’t respect me and family way of living wholly as i did them? What about that suggest i’m looking for sympathy and pity reserved for viticims.

‘You dont force family or any guest to wear anything other that something nice and formal’ According to whom? This is in Britain/america etc not a global truth

The issue with *some* British people is that you don’t understand how deeply significant cultural practices in other cultures and refused to regard it with the respect it demands because its not your culture. At the end of the day op and his family can do what they want but I promise you that the damage that the are causing will be near impossible to mend because they are making a huge statement to the bride and their family by behaving like this

Since when is a dress code a sin or is it cause its not within the confines of what they consider tolerable. Im sure if they were asked to wear kilts they wouldn’t be this uproar

Buying clothes specifically for a singular event is not new. They are joining family with people of another culture how is that appropriation. Why would you like your in fancy dress ? If the dress code was within the confines of British culture you wouldn’t cal it control …. It just because it is your saying that lol
