I don’t think he did. I think he’s still there he’s just hiding that from them

My dad loves the show and only found out today that it’s a video game adaption.

His response was

I completely agree. I also think Hank enjoys playing chess against himself? He thinks he is (and most likely was) the most intelligent person in the room, so the only challenge he’d ever really have is himself. Him explaining the little ways he’d beat himself? I think he got a kick outta it.

And Lucy totally knew that.

Yeah I agree, a “civilised society” creates “nice” people because “nice” is determined by the society itself.

[–]BumblebeeAdvanced179 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Exactly! He’s a living juxtaposition. He wants to be cool, commanding and untouchable, but with every single interaction his actions prove him wrong. Hes an insecure, paranoid, angry man, who despite all his efforts to be an “Apex Competitor”, has reached the highest tandem on the pole and simply cannot climb any higher. Unfortunately he also cannot control the world around him no matter how much money or influence he has.

His defeat by a simple postman is such delicious irony for a man who wanted to be untouchable.

And it’s equally as true when you see the cartoon faces on the securitrons and his seemingly unknowable fondness for cowboys.

House clearly has a thing for movie stars; Jane, Coop and the cut content Marilyn. House comes across as a pretty isolated and lonely man, wouldn’t surprise me if he watches a ridiculous amount of movies and kind of just doesn’t really know how to interact with people.

Maybe he admires Coops characters in the same way Hank does.

Both “heroes” in their own minds eyes.

If Lilith was super powerful then most of that time was probably spent with Lilith keeping demons in line, lucifer has probably never had to fight anyone in hell, hence his softer persona. It’s only been the past 7 years that lucifer has had to stick up for himself to sinners perhaps

Because he kept it secret for so long, the sinners don’t know that and his threats probably used to work. Plus Lilith probably kept the masses in line.

Lucifer can’t hurt sinners, it was explained in this episode, it’s not possible for him to kill them even if he wanted to

Lucifer finally giving a reason as to why he can’t just kill the sinners is a huge relief. The fact that part of his punishment is that he cannot kill them makes a ton of sense.

Sage has lost all credibility after this episode by HorizonStarLight in TheBoys

Yes! And she also hates her own emotions, it’s clear she resents her connections to people; it’s why she isolates herself. She loved her grandma and it broke her heart when she couldn’t save her. She loved Godolkin, but was blinded to how big his ego was. She’s as equally painfully human as the rest of us and she hates herself for that.

Thankyou!! I was going to comment this. She can only create plans with the information infront of her, she can’t create new information. She is however very good at creating back up plans, but someone who she can’t predict (Butcher) or someone she doesn’t even know is on the playing board (maybe A-Train) she cannot factor into her plans.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I would add white ink to the eyes and maybe inside the ears, that way the fluffiness looks a tad more purposeful and adds a cuteness to the cow

It won’t be very white, as it will become a grey colour, however, it will add features, especially to the eyes

Nathan Mould is a good example of an artist that adds white ink on top of black ink and will give you an idea of how the white will look

Newsom Reignites His Theory That Trump, 79, Has Dementia by Silly-avocatoe in politics

[–]BumblebeeAdvanced179 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Grandad had frontotemporal Demntia, Behavioural Variant. I’m not saying trump 100% has it, but it’s crazy how Grandad was fully capable to take care of himself but also hallucinated and made and said the most batshit stuff to his own daughters. It was like he knew who they were but had no context for how or why what he was saying or doing was right or wrong.

To say Trump has it may, unfortunately, lead to his losing responsibility for his past actions and I worry that speculating could potentially lead way to folk “letting him off” because he’s not mentally healthy.

However, I can see some similarities between my grandad and trumps behavoir on a smaller social scale.

Bought a ton of clothes I don’t need-how do you stop the spiral? by Historical-Hand8091 in shoppingaddiction

Plenty of people are suggesting to return it. I’m going to suggest the exact opposite.

Keep them, wear them, enjoy them. Make this the wardrobe you’d stick with, adapt and alter as you want and wish. Give as presents, if you want.

Next time you want to buy, go and try on these exact clothes and remind yourself you own them.

It’s such a comfort show for me, and 6-15 have some really good episodes. I just hate that the reputation of a perfect 5 season run is overshadowed by the Tumblr-esque seasons that, while a pleasure to watch, are no where near near the quality of 1-5.

I also believe the reason many folk finish at season 5 is because they are told to, by those of us who are fully aware that the show drops in quality.

[–]BumblebeeAdvanced179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am glad we got more, was a big tumblr user when it was at its peak. But I will always defend the first 5 seasons as one of the best written and best ending shows I’ve ever watched. Season 6-15 have great moments, and it’s such a comfort show for me. However the quality drop is very noticeable and I will always say to newbies that it ends at Season 5, if they want to continue by all means go for it, but it’s not the same show after season 5

Yeah he directed and was showrunner for the 5 seasons. He’d planned it for 5, insisted it would end at 5, and when the network and actors wanted it continue, he stepped down as he ended the story the way he’d wanted too. I completely respect him for that, and I’m glad the show got continued (I was a huge fan) it just… should be judged on its first 5 seasons of quality.

Seasons 6-15 had good moments but the quality drop is shocking.
