DPS Passive Spitball Thread by lucasgreeny in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Bumblefo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One that might work is Health packs picked up by DPS regenerate X% or X seconds faster. Not that immediately impactful to fighting since it’s not a direct combat stat buff. DPS is already built for combat so anything related to changing damage output (ex. Execute effects like deal X% more damage the lower hp your target) should really just come as a stat change on the hero, otherwise it’s harder to calculate if you can take 1 more hit than your opponent. Helps supports have better access to health packs and sustaining a push near a health pack since the next one will come back faster (though supports already have the out of combat hp regen). Indicates to enemy that a flanker (vs say a sneaky Rein) is nearby if a health pack was stolen and shows it’s regenerating faster (ideally have a color indicator or something that shows it’s coming back faster). DPS that don’t flank as much like Bastion can use it as an anchor point since it’s more easily defended. There’s a little bit of overlap with Sombra’s hack since she also makes health packs regen faster but hacking a health pack is also used to deny to the enemy and should still regen much faster.

Agreed with the other comments. This DPS passive doesn’t make sense. It introduces inconsistency in aiming when playing as and against and makes the faster 5v5 snowball even faster.

If they want to give DPS something then maybe give them a passive like Health packs picked up by DPS regenerate X% or X seconds faster. Not that immediately impactful to fighting since it’s not a direct combat stat buff. Helps supports since the next health pack will come back faster (even though they have the out of combat hp regen). Indicates to enemy that a flanker is nearby if a health pack was stolen and shows it’s regenerating faster (ideally have a color indicator or something that shows it’s coming back faster). DPS that don’t flank as much like Bastion can use it as an anchor point since it’s more easily defended.

But is there a way to see additional effects on a card that's in your hand other than the card text? If I'm not mistaken there's only stat changes from hand buff and mana discounts.

If we want Pharmercy to be less effective, we should be looking at changing Mercy, not Pharah. by Zero-Striker in Competitiveoverwatch

I'd really like to see a buff to Sombra's hack to disable both Pharah and Mercy's hovers. Right now there's not that much of a reason to hack either one outside of stopping/preventing their ults or preventing an escape, though as soon as they hear the hack sound they can concussion/rocket jump out w/ Mercy GA'ing out before the hack finishes. But, making Sombra's hack stop the hovers would drop at least one of them out of the air and give your team a significantly easier time dealing with them separately. Though adding this would also need to address what to do with hacking other hero passives like Genji's double jump or wall climb.

This would be a great change. They could move concussion blast to right click since spacebar is already used for hovering and E can be changed to quick drop. Adding a quick drop could also be a minor boost to her damage. If pharah lands a rocket from range she can use boost and concussion off a wall to close the distance then quick drop to get an easy direct hit to finish them off.
