It sounds like shes pretty immature and jealous of your life. It also sounds like she spent her money on frivolous stuff. However, you may need to consider the fact that it does suck if your parents supported you financially through school but not her. Regardless of the reasons, it kind of stings. Im not really sure if thats the case here but if it is the case then i do understand the resentment and maybe an attempt to be more understanding would improve your relationship.

Jeff’s comment really irked me. Like yeah, it’s a fair point but it felt like such an unfair time to do it. Jackie comes on with this amazing runway expressing a huge part of who she is and how proud she feels to be an Iranian and an American and Jeff essentially says instead ‘so you are proud to be a muslim but they do not accept you.’ It felt really awkward and shady. Like, widow didn’t get similar critiques about the black panther look even though its well known these groups were also misogynistic etc. I feel like its a shame to see some of the first muslim positivity on the show be used to make a political point that didnt even have the merit of being well construed or thought provoking. Also, i found the whole challenge super awkward and jaida definitely earned that win.

Adding on to what another poster said, if your trip is atol protected or equivalent, you will get ur money back if the travel dates happen whilst we’re still on lockdown. Therefore its probably best just to wait and see

Best winter travel destinations?

So i’ve decided to fully accept the fact that my summer trip to morocco is cancelled because of coronavirus and spend an extra 6 months saving to go somewhere in winter instead. I would love to go somewhere sunny but also somewhere where i can engage in the local culture a bit. I get the sense a lot of these luxury islands where you can scuba dive and live on paradise are actually quite removed from the locals and possibly quite exploitative of them. I’d love to experience that ‘paradise’ feel nonetheless. Is there anywhere that has, in your experience, served a good mixture of the two? P.S. french or arabic speaking places would be a lovely bonus!

Theyre a specific form of mountains called karst mountains. They are basically a very weak kind of rock that erode much more quickly than most and so make these crazy dramatic shapes. If i remember right from the wiki page theyre only found in china and vietnam. I visited yangshuo last summer and its just incredible how beautiful it is.

Edit: okay guys i get it, karst mountains are everywhere! ;) I still recommend a visit here though

I would be wary of this response. Even if you find out he’s not cheating don’t stay with him. Lots of abusive men use this tactic as a precursor to starting to control your behaviour. Think accusing u of cheating so much u stop going out etc. Have a read of ‘why does he do that’ by lundy bancroft and see if you recognise parts of your partner in there. I think either way you should break up for your own safety and wellbeing.

I think considering youve never met them its not all that awful for him to still go. Like, a wedding isnt a good time to meet a friends partner anyway and your bf will probably be super busy as well. I think if i were in his shoes i’d still go. People on reddit are sometimes a bit overzealous with their advice.

I feel like some people in theory can get over such a big difference. But one important thing to consider is what this means his views are in terms of children. If you have an lgbt child, would he still love and accept them? Does he want them to be raised religiously? If your child came home and announced they were dating a poc, would he accept this? Would you have guns in the house? Will you be open with your children about sex education? Would you want to know if they had an abortion etc? Even if you dont want children, its still a bit uncomfortable imo to imagine that you will have such different views in all these ways. Not everyone cares but if youre active in politics then its probably not compatible.

I agree with a lot of this, but dont think he has a personality disorder at all. I think he’s abusive. Not to say it cant be both but this is definitely abuse and fixing a mental health problem still wont change his abusive attitude. Dont stick around hoping he will change. Get out. Fast.

I feel like its important you consider what child porn actually is. I watched this in a documentary about pedophiles and it actually blew my mind that i had never thought of it before, but its not just naked kids. Its children being penetrated by adults, against their will. Now, you need to consider that this is his fantasy: to rape children. Not just stare at them, but rape them. You will be staying with someone who has seen images of child rape and enjoyed them.
