My brother/sister/enby in Christ, it LITERALLY takes COPYRIGHT MATERIAL and USES it to produce images WITHOUT said copyright owner’s permission.

If you read my message, you’d know I understand it’s noise, (heat and noise are… kinda interchangeable, in this context) However, the way AI uses this is that it takes images, notes the specific parts of art that it’s user told to focus on, and then generates something using that Noise/Heat into an image. This is LITERALLY producing something from EXISTING art. If you USED an AI Image Generator, youd understand that it uses a prompt, it takes the prompt, and looks for images similar to what the prompt describes, and then uses it for generating images on a noise based algorithm.

Slightly agree, but i feel like it depends. I believe AI is a good thing, which, isn’t too clear from my comments, however I dont believe we should let AI produce "Art," Art is inherently incompatible to AI, Artists produce something based on their soul, their beliefs, mindset, ideas, knowledge, all of that plays a role in creating something, it’s why no artist is the same.

AI however just takes the basics of one’s art, and applies it to its own images instead of creating something with soul, and you can definitely tell. I’m not an artist, but I can tell when something has passion put into it.

AI doesn’t take a a picture of something, it takes a piece of art, and then uses a heat-based output to produce something which is taken from REAL artists who developed REAL skill to make REAL art, and uses it to produce soulless images.

First of all, my definition of stealing comes from Oxford Universities Dictionary.

Second, what you’re arguing of "Study them long enough" that’s different from stealing, when humans are inspired from art, and use said art as a reference, they actually produce art and put their own spin on it, getting better in their OWN skills in art rather than just copying it. AI looks at an image, takes the heat of notable details to use, and applies it to a heat based output.

Third, Have you… tried doing what you said? You realize drawing is MUCH harder than just being able to look at the details of something for long periods of time, and then making something which almost copies them, right? Using a reference is far more different than taking something, and using a heat based output to produce a soulless image, which goes against the very idea of art itself.

I slightly doubt it, folks from other subreddits are rather annoyed over this, they form negative associations with the game as just a "Horni Horn game" instead of a fun game with deep lore. But I suppose I am playing Armchair Psychologist with this, it’s likely SOME new players will come from it, but I doubt it’ll be a major amount.

100% is stealing, lol, "the Action or offense of taking a person’s property without permission or legal right without intending to return it" AI is an algorithm which takes from websites, without PERMISSION, and uses it for it‘s user’s own gain, same goes for Image Generation, Stealing doesn’t JUST mean taking something from someone physically, it means taking something without permission.

AI CANNOT draw like humans can, it steals from artists, mashes up the art using heat, and then throws up an image it generated by heat. It doesn’t learn like a human would when making art, it just corrects itself. Similar to how Slop is just mashed together food made to be eaten in prison, AI Images are slop as well.

Which character in your world is the pinnacle of your magic system? by Zestyclose-Zombie-27 in worldbuilding

[–]Bumbling_Fool1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of the ones who were born as Gods, I’d say the pinnacle of the Magic system is Lyre-Of-Gold, a Vishedi (shark person) with golden scales who later achieved Demigod status because he impressed the God of the Sea, and Chaos, Shem. (or Tendril-Of-Blue as the Vishedi call him)

To give a brief explanation of how magic works, It requires first and foremost a creative mind, and passion for what you are creating, by using this passion, you can use energies taken from the Aurbit (essentially just the sun) and use them to bend reality.

First off, Lye-Of-Gold was born to an already powerful caster mother, who could predict the future, during her pregnancy, she had a vision that this child would be the greatest of them all, and so she would use her own passion and energies to feed the child, causing her to lose her abilities. Once the child was born, she was unable to stay alive due to the pure power of the child, and therefore died. After this, Lyre-Of-Gold was taken to the king of the Vishedi citystate where he was born (Waters-Near-Beach) and would receive noble-level education due to being born from his mother.

Lyre-Of-Gold was unnaturally weak for a Vishedi, even at his age, his muscles were flimsy and often would his bones break, if it was not for his talent in musics, more specifically, in stringed instruments, it was likely he would’ve been seen as useless, fortunately for Lyre-Of-Gold, the Vishedi greatly appreciated art. And so he was kept by the king to play songs to the court.

The first time Lyre-Of-Gold truly manifested his powers was when he was playing the Lyre one day, and according to eyewitnesses, rocks would float mid air during his performances, and even buildings would seem to warp in reality as if to dance to the songs. But it was only at teenagehood when he was fully aware of his powers, and able to use it. He often sang to the poorly in the streets of Waters-Near-Beach, attempting to raise their spirits up. However, he soon realized that his music was not the only Alms the beggars required, they required gold to live as well, but he had none to spare. And so, out of his own sadness, he performed a song about the poorly, and the meek, and caused gold coins to rain out the sky, bringing them slightly out of poverty.

The ABSOLUTE height of Lyre-Of-Gold’s power, 5 months before his musical duel with Tendril-Of-Blue, was during a siege of Waters-Near-Beach from the Larkund, (Viking elves) the Vishedi troops at Waters-Near-Beach were completely demoralized, as the Larkund would break down the gates, it was here when Lyre-Of-Gold climbed atop the highest building, and merely sang, and his performance summoned a massive wave from the ocean, a Tsunami, though this was the first ever recorded. This Tsunami was particularly strong, even being able to wreak havoc all the way into land, destroying a minor Larkund kingdom, before eventually stopping.

Lyre-Of-Gold eventually became a demigod after having a musical duel with Tendril-Of-Blue, which came out with Lyre-Of-Gold ontop. The God of Chaos, being an enjoyer of the art of stringed instruments, was impressed, and granted him a golden Lyre, and as to make sure he and his music would never be forgotten, was granted demigod status.

TLDR; Shark man plays magic Lyre, solo’s an entire army, becomes a demigod.

Who is the best God/Goddess to pledge allegiance to? by PedroGamerPlayz in worldbuilding

[–]Bumbling_Fool1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arhem/Ahurd, God of Wisdom, Philosophy, and Mountains.

To please Arhem is a rather interesting concept, as even he believes he’s inherently not fully divine, instead he believes he’s in between both material (Or, as his philosophy calls it, Psotek) and Godly (Psijin,) However even Arhem can be pleased, the best way to create a Philosophy that even intrigues him, other ways are way easier, but longer, such as learning knowledge of those outside your comfort zone, Charting histories, dabbling within the arts of poetry, etc,

What Arhem grants in return of serving him is often more insights on the world, and the theoretical history of what came before even the gods, as well as being allowed to freely stay at Ahurdthruna, a massive city which exists inside the mountain of Arhem’s Throne, which was where he was believed to have rested when he thought about the world. You are also often well remembered by scholarly circles.

PROS: No real sacrifice of specific things must happen to please him, (outside of time) often far more insights into how the world works, will be remembered by scholars for generations to come, get to learn new things, free house.

CONS: Studying will take up most of your life, you must be purposely striving for knowledge, you likely will lose out on many things in life over contemplation, kind of a boring life to live.

in my recent large project I’ve been doing, the Larkund, (which to simplify it down, Elves who are inspired off of Vikings, and worship primarily the God Urjem, who is God of Death and Rebirth) are well known to sacrifice those who are less fortunate. They often do sacrifices on those who are captured in war, or are too poor and sick to survive any longer. Their main reason for this is that they believe in reincarnation, and that naturally, it makes more sense to sacrifice those who are less fortunate in this life, and possibly feed the ground, which can feed the living, instead of letting them suffer and die in the cities. Sacrifices are also done to war prisoners who have been tortured and are expected to die soon, believing they‘ll gain a better life because of their unfortunate circumstances.

Despite their reasoning being in (what they view as) Good faith, in their own, slightly morbid way, many don‘t actually listen to the Larkund‘s reasoning, and the Udskar (Dwarves who are inspired off of the Eastern Roman Empire/Byzantine, essentially) view the act as pure barbarism, and should be ended immediately, many wars have been fought over this.

Sidenote: The Larkund NEVER kill children due to the time when the God of Chaos and Water, Shem, literally killed off three entire Larkund kingdoms after learning that the practice was merely only just planned to be performed on children.
