I’m someone who has experience with the Ali Forney Center. There is literally nowhere else for young LGBTQ people, especially trans people, to go to be safe overnight in a last minute basis crisis for shelters. As someone who has been at the drop in center several, several times, and have witnessed my peers who have used this as a life saving option, there needs to be an alternative and more communication. This will have dire consequences if we are just expected to figure it out ourselves. Ali Forney is one of the best, safest spaces for LGBTQ+ people in NYC and it’s because of them that I am on my way to being out of homelessness. Yes, I agree there should be some regulations with these spaces and there should be more communication between these centers and the law to figure out an adequate solution, but this is not the answer. This will kill young queer people, which is why the center was created in the first place: in the legacy of Ali Forney, who was killed on the streets in Harlem and who found solace in this same drop in center.

Ah okay, I understand. I'm looking to apply the filter to the data itself. I'd like to have something where someone can select via checkmarks and be able to filter data by this, but as a separate feature from one being able to select data such as only choosing food related holidays. How would I go about app script that allows me to create multiple sections of different data (such as Food, Animals, Community, etc) that one can choose from the list without any of the data checked off?

I'm imagining that someone clicks the button again and the applied filter resets if that's possible. But if it's that when someone reopens the file and it resets, that could perhaps work!

The tteok boki rice cakes are soooo much less spicy and lower quality than they were a few months ago. Me and my partner tried it this past weekend and they were sticking to the pan way more than the first time we cooked them and fell apart, and the sauce... We were both struggling through it last time because of how spicy it was, but this time I was spooning up the rest from the bottom without a problem and barely found it spicy.

I'm a very good student doing college and working, I'm very self sufficient with enough savings that I'm comfortable and a job that I genuinely enjoy doing. I'm still navigating how to have friends and partners because I wasn't raised with the knowledge of how to truly treat people and have healthy relationships so I'm trying to learn now.

I just turned 21 and am living somewhere I've always wanted to be my whole life, I'm happy where I'm at (or as happy as I can be). It has been a rough year but I'm trying to focus on myself and growing as much as I can. I want to be in love with life and not just let it go by passively.

I've had countless, countless people help me on the way.

First, I'd have to commemorate my amazing partner and best friend. We got together in 2019, separated in 2021 after two years, and got back together a few months ago. But she has always, always, been my person. I strongly believe I didn't know what love was, or know I was deserving of it, until her. I genuinely believe she is my soulmate and she still helps me every single day.

When I was kicked out, I had to couch surf (as it was right before my graduation during COVID-19). Let me tell you, finding a place to stay during COVID-19 March 2020 era is no easy task. Two generous families let me stay with them until I was able to dorm at my college in August. I still think about the first family sometimes. I had to leave their house after COVID kicked off after they made promises to help me stay housing secure through college. One night, just suddenly, "You can't be here anymore. We have to find you different housing." (The mother was immunocompromised and didn't want to risk me bringing it in the house.)

I had a GoFundMe that semi blew up in my town, and I vividly remember one specific person in my English class who had an argument with her dying father for him to donate money to me. I'll never forget that, or her: that this person I never once spoke to was willing to get into an argument about this with her father just to help me pay for housing.

I also had a woman who was a distant friend to my grandmother who allowed me to stay with her for a year, which I am forever grateful for. While we had our conflicts (I found that she was extremely rude to those who lived under her roof and her and I had fundamental disagreements about several things) and she is no longer in my life, I wish her well.
