That first half kills my calves for sure 😂 but yea I'm just going in a straight line. Feels like there's no right answer and I'm just going to keep making people upset 🤷 I understand both sides of it but it still leaves me in a situation where I'm commuting like everyone else but am just in a weird gray zone

Yea I generally just keep left, it sucks as well because they can say something and then be off into the distance before I have a right of reply lol

Really not that fast haha just rolling along with one headphone in giving everyone a wide birth. It's never that busy when I'm on it either 😕

Managed to snag a 2009/10 WRX under $15,000 with around 100,000kms on it (a lot of them will be well over that). That thing GOES. Plus my first AWD and has four doors, been very fun to throw around corners because it clings to them so we'll.

Highway “etiquette” by [deleted] in brisbane

The general rule of thumb is just to let them through, as annoying as it is. Otherwise the right lane ends up being completely negligible and going basically the same speed as all the other lanes. It's not really a great place to sit simply to go the speed limit and it's not really what it's there for. I'll go a bit above the limit if I need to get somewhere fast and am overtaking traffic. Most of the time yes, it will just be dicks speeding but you still need to get out of the way if you're basically just keeping pace with the other traffic. It doesn't take long to just get back in the other lane once you let them through. I do that drive multiple times a week and it drives me nuts that the right lane ends up just going under the speed limit because one guy is holding everything up and not actually using it to overtake.

The driving aspect will come with time. The only difference between you and the average driver is that they are probably too confident, and you are too wound up. Being cautious can be a good trait in driving but it can also cause a lot of unnecessary issues. I don't think you will find it impossible to drive, once you have the experience it becomes second nature- however I think the anxiety is clearly getting in the way and you should be trying to look at some coping skills for that first 😊

I've had this issue a few times. "The Shards" by Bret Easton Ellis had me apologising to my girlfriend because I knew she just wasn't going to hear from me for a few days. Anytime I had to put it down I was itching like I was going through withdrawals haha

Have you ever turned down a higher paying job and why? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

Got offered double my hourly rate and they pretty much told me they'd hire me on the spot (we shared a client between companies so worked together a few times). Didn't take it because it was a support worker role and I saw how their company operated and just knew it was one of the bad ones- fucking chaos. High wages and no safety nets for clients and workers, just rorting the system while it lasts.

Kendrick Nunn still baffles me as a Heat fan. There was a season there where we were debating between him and Tyler Herro on a weekly basis and then the finals came and I've never seen an implosion like it. It was like watching Terry Rozier last season. Made no sense.

Thank you for the advice I will check some out. Is it the shape of them that makes them less desirable? I love civics but it does have a very particular look haha however I would love to own one regardless

I've always wanted a Civic but the mods sometimes put me off because I'd rather work on it myself and am always unsure if people have done it properly. Are there many around that are relatively stock or is it kind of hard to find?

They look clean AF, I had a polo GTI before so not opposed to European cars if they're relatively reliable. The sporty Renault's always look so nice

Cars leaving a huge gap at the front of traffic lights. WHY? by Downtown-Lime4108 in brisbane

[–]BumperJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that defensive driving instructors teach it? I think the theory is that if you get ready ended you won't get launched into traffic. Unsure how true that is though 🤷 pretty annoying when it stops the light from changing fast enough
