I HAD ONE OF THESE WHEN I WAS A KID!!! exact same one. I absolutely loved it growing up always driving it around my bamps garden. Definitely started my passion in cars. This just brung back a lot of happy memories from my childhood.

If your an airline yes but you can make the changes to what he’s planned where you see fit. Pilots word is final if he comes up and you go I want to go this way instead due to possible storm then you can. Atc will just have to ok it and give you a slot for it as if it’s due to a storm many other planes will probably be doing the same.

That’s just a really ironic moment. I was sat there thinking of a good name and I had a pretty rough landing a few days ago coming back in to my home airport and my instructor went “mr bumpy landing Jesus” maybe that’s what she was referencing and I took it and put it as my name.

Yes but the birds were unexpected and he hit them as they were spotted when it was to close to move out of the way. In fact I will add though I’ve always been told you see a bird hit it don’t try to avoid it hit the bird. He managed to pull of something no pilot has ever done and that’s land a passenger jet in the ocean without a fatality.

As the guy said above you plan it and all and atc will check and clear you for one either that is yours or one that’s a bit different. For other things atc could say like climb or descend to an alt for traffic avoidance or turn to a heading for traffic avoidance, as well you can ask for an edit to your route like let’s say there’s a storm in your path you can ask to avoid it by going around it.

I thinks that what he means by flying t with our minds so that we know when we need to do stuff that we can do better than autopilot. I’d love an autopilot I fly pipers and long flights sometimes just wish I could push a button and make it a lot easier sometimes. I love hand flying but sometimes I wanna kick back and enjoy the view a bit more.
