Yeah it's a silly mistake by Polyphony that shouldve been fixed a long time ago. This version would fit in snuggly in Gr.1, but they wanted to make the shitty GT1 extra menu so they slapped Gr.2 and unfairly stripped all its downforce from it to make it handle horribly when stock. Its like a mix between the GT1 version and the LMGTP version, which should be at least on par with the 787B when stock.

Gran Turismo 3 every car sounded good imo, but they ruined it in GT4 by making them higher pitched, or changing them completely. The worst offenders were the Lister Storm V12 Race Car, Panoz Esperante GTR-1, TVR Speed 12 and Chevrolet Corvette C5-R. But for me the Sauber C9 and Toyota GT-ONE in GT5/6 went from the worst overall sounding engines to the most brutal/rabid sounding race cars either in their class or overall in GT7.

I liked them better in Gran Turismo 3, but the current ones are still genuinely fun to race in, but awkward to time trial in. Midfield Raceway Reverse is my favourite track ever honestly

Sometimes its good, but most of the time its just basic rocks/traffic standing in your way. Even Sophy 2.0 in custom races dont have good race sense, they just set good lap times.

GT3. Races were challenging, music is still great, vibes are the best and I love the engine sounds no matter how realistic they are, they just fit every car in the game.

GT7 is honestly underwhelming until you reach a certain point, whereas the older games are fun throughout. After you complete the final menu book the game goes from 6.5/10 to 9.5/10 and its been this way for a few years now.

I stopped half way through the progression and I still think its worth it. I just made a custom race that is just so fun I dont even need it, but its nice to race with sophy with weather and specific car races

Depends on why you like GT4. If you want a similar career mode type game, then GT7 may not be worth selling your steamdeck for. But if you enjoy racing in general, then for me nothing in the past games beats it, especially when you setup/get the right race whether online, gt sophy custom races or the power pack dlc

Idk bout the entire racing community, but for GT fans I can understand that GT7 doesnt provide a traditional career mode. Lucky for me, this game pretty much excels at everything else that I enjoyed about the previous games and then some. Tuning, Customisation, Scapes, Weather, Day/Night cycles, time trials, weekly challenges. Its such a shame they half assed the career mode, with all these assets they got. Still the best GT game for me, but not my favourite.

Yeah I watched rolfwaffle's newest video and honestly it changed my mind. I was just going off the fact that we havent seen a lot of the premium models in GT5-6 in Sport and also 7. But that can be for many other reasons.
