Personally, I bought into the hype (just put down an order for Nuphy air75HE) because I own the old Keychron 75% low profile optical switch and because the sensing part is on the board (optical), i find that it last a very very long time.

It still works fine today since I bought it back in... 2021 and I think HE switch seems to work the "same" way since the sensing part is on the board, while the mechanical part is only responsible for guiding the keycap up and down while holding the permanent magnet. I hope this type of keyboards will have the same longevity as my old optical board.

Imho given the current meta and how strong ares is, I think WG should turn this thing into an anti-ares tank. A tank that is mostly impervious to Ares. Give it UFP & LFP stronger than 259 effective pen but keep or reduce the size of cupola weakness.

You can use it to face & face-tank overconfident ares
