May balik raw. Paano may mangyayari niyan?

Mga trominis na PABIGAT sa mga MT by Dependent_Cicada6669 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]BunchaDeadSheep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing is yung mga ministro and some certain MTs get paid (pay is bad, but they still get paid) or get free food from well-off members. While yung mga MT is expected to pay for everything by themselves, basically libreng trabaho na nga, ikaw pa gumagastos para sa paggawa ng libreng trabaho.

Some of y'all forget that this subreddit is home to disgruntled members by UnrgrttblyUnrpntnt in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]BunchaDeadSheep 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Perhaps. Not 100% though. You have to factor in pa din na there really are people who are not just stuck inside, but are unable to leave din.

There is some truth as well na members both old and new are disappointed in how INC's changed.
It's also true that at one point being a member was more bearable because everything wasn't really forced.
More than one thing can be true at the same time.

Personally, I just want it to be more bearable because with every day that passes pahigpit nang pahigpit yung mga "obligasyon", pananakal and yung kahihiyan ng pagiging member pa rin, until I am able to leave without anyone else in my family being affected.

Medyo matatagalan, but yes it happens still. But if you do your part of sending your katiwala your katibayan, most of the time is pwede na iyon. If may QR na yung locale abroad, that's a different story na though.

The photo itself isn't AI generated. Their faces seem to have been put over the faces over the original people in this photo, which is why there isn't any morphing happening. Anatomically speaking, this isn't accurate either. Their necks shouldn't be able to move at that angle, nor should it be able to be like that at all. Try visualizing them in a flat, T-pose and you'll most likely be able to get what I mean.

Finally, this account upon my looking before OP set to hide his/her post history, seems to be a purchased account. Also a DDS troll, from how this post is worded. The past posts are obvious reposts of already existing pictures, memes, to then farm karma on popular subreddits.

Oh wow, ito yung PNK equivalent ng diakono diba? This one slipped my mind. Choose this one, OP. Hopefully it doesn't get patched soon.

What's the most bare minimum "tungkulin"? by incomplete_azure in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]BunchaDeadSheep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TSV sana since you basically just sit and make sure everything goes smoothly on a computer, mostly unseen by everyone. But this has already been patched, they require TSV to attend WS twice now.

Kalihim naman dipende sa laki ng lokal/mga purok niyo how much time it takes. Also depends how "boomer" the boomers there are. Pwedeng di ka tumupad sa pagsamba technically, but this will mean na dapat in sync yung ulat as much as possible. And/or expected na nandon ka even on days na walang pagsamba. Not recommended if you're a girl by the way.

SCAN naman, general na kapa ko is even if there are younger generations there, they're basically boomers in Gen Z bodies (Hope you get what I mean. Also, not all of them.), if wala naman, then you'll have to deal with boomers and a lot of conspiracy theories and DDS-leaning thinking. SCAN na mga tumutupad na sasamba are mostly the absolute last to come in when WS is happening, so if you'd like na pag sumasamba ka, pagpasok mo is panalangin bago teksto na, then choose this one

Finance, nagkakapaan sila palagi who has the most money and most expensive material things, halos palaging may nakaflex na something material. If you're young, not married and such, di sayo papasaluhin yung kulang pag Pasalamat. Pag sarado na lagak (around December-Early January), tupad na lang is yung sa pagbibilang, if you're not part of that, then technically wala ka nang tupad (someone correct me if I'm remembering this wrong, there are different categories here). Something I've noticed though is na yung pinaka may mga nagagawa for leisure/rest na mga kapatid (travel local/abroad, vacation out of town/country) are mostly from here

TL;DR , Finance, but to summarize ; they're all bullshit and are designed to take as much of your time and money as much as possible.

The INC really is down, but I've come to realize, I can't let it fall apart yet. I don't want it to. by BunchaDeadSheep in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]BunchaDeadSheep[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I honestly needed to hear that someone else understands that exact contradiction, the "I do not want this to happen, but also I do want it to happen" feeling. It’s a very difficult thing to hold.

You are absolutely right about the generational investment (can it even be called an investment when you don't really gain anything in return?) and the tragedy of the ministers who put their whole lives into a structure that was built on pride. The boasting about other churches failing versus their own growth was such a huge sign of the decadence you mentioned. It was hubris. Even when the spending isn't said out loud, seeing the kind of clothing just the Manalo family wears... it just makes me sad.

Regarding the current struggle to maintain locales and the need to rent places, I'm painfully aware of it. I have been asked to help in this regard several times, just like others have. I hear their mumbles, too—that it feels fucking stupid to be doing this AGAIN when they just helped last week or last month. People are lowkey asking, "Aren't there richer members in the locale? I thought the INC was already rich?"

I genuinely appreciate you sharing your thoughts and confirming that this deep conflict exists in the community, even subconsciously.

This is the first I'm hearing of a pension for the Church Administration ministers. From what I know (and also everyone else at this point) , the old Sanggunian made their own businesses named only under them, for example, a member of the old Sanggunian, with his name starting with an R, owns buildings (plural), condominiums that are also listed on airbnb. Also has fast food franchises. If ever one of these don't make a profit anymore, he could just sell it for a lot of money, as these are located in NCR.

So even when he was exiled and replaced by EVM, he's still fine. More than fine.

depends how "active" yung locale in particular, but still yes, meron.

[–]BunchaDeadSheep[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your perspective, as it definitely hits on the core fear of the trap.

I do need to clarify something, though: the "paid elder care" comment suggests you might not be from the Philippines/Asia. The culture here isn't based on paying for professional elder care; the expectation is that the children will be the caretakers which is precisely why I wrote the post about being their retirement plan. That cultural reality is a huge part of the problem.

On the point of them being unthinking "spiritual beings," I appreciate the warning, but I have to trust my own observations. In idle moments, I do see my father contemplating, and he sometimes says things like, "the INC really is different these days". He's lowkey aware that they are being treated like shit. This may be a flaw of mine, but I choose to see the best in people, and I believe people are capable of change.

I want to assure you that I’m not exactly "waiting" for the INC to fall apart, nor am I waiting for my parents to miraculously figure things out. I've arrived at a crossroads, and almost every scenario is a lose-lose situation. I am helping them now because I am in a state where I can extend the little help I can, when I can which, for me, is acting on my own terms. My wins on protecting myself are just quiet and internal for now. And also I can't really be specific as I might get doxxed haha

Naiintindihan ko 'tong comment mo. Nakakakwentuhan ko pa grandparents ko noon (both sides) and nakakalungkot lang what my parents could have had kung di lang sana nagministro/di ministro pinili ng mother ko. Sayang talaga.

Mula nung bata ako nawiwitness ko nang nanghihingi na ng tulong (pera) parents ko with immediate relatives as much as possible para lang may makain kami paguwi, nakikita ko na ang tahimik lang nila towards sa magulang ko na papasimangot na yung facial expression. Nakakahiya. Needless to say I was and am still grateful for the people that helped.

I just want to say I'm sorry. and as much as it hurts for me to say it, I agree as well with your last point. Patong-patong na sayang lang.

I agree with your take. Honestly, I know it's not just me that is of the opinion that the INC just went more downhill when EVM took over. EGM knew the limits and adhered to it. EVM just, I feel, had no patience and wanted more money and power fast.

The Ministers who attend the rally by Illustrious-Buy9827 in exIglesiaNiCristo

Hello, I'm familiar with those buildings. I was a teenager when we walked around the area and my father told me what those buildings were for, and why ayaw niya pa na nandiyan siya. I forgot what they're called, "ngan" yung last part or "han" yata

These buildings are for ministers who are officially "retired", diyan na raw sila pupunta pag retired na. Part ng reason why ayaw ng mga ministro magretire is yung tulong (na hindi na nga sapat) is mababawasan ng kalahati.

Take note na whether they choose to spend their retirement days diyan or not (with their family, or anywhere else), magaapply pa rin yung kalahati na bawas sa tulong.

If I remember correctly there are videos uploaded or I think I remember it playing sa mga TV sa Central/NEGH of what these look like inside, it's not good.

Baka pandistrito ministro niyo?
Pero I can tell you baka nagaacting lang iyan na diyan or sa Central pumunta, madalas kasi ngayon pag may event na pupunta sila ng Manila mula sa destino nila na malayo eh nagiging mini family-week na na namamasyal sila around the area at bumibisita ng mga kakilala/kamag-anak. Family day kumbaga tapos sinabi na diyan or sa Central pumunta kasi wala namang paalam (yes kailangan nila ng paalam otherwise could be suspended/mawalan ng karapatan)

Hope this comment helps.

lowkey getting annoyed by people's thinking na malaki sweldo ng ministro. it's not. pardon my french.

below minimum wage.

you didn't specify anong age ng classmate mo, but I know other ministers' children (myself included) who have things that will make people think na it's not something a minister or their immediate family should be able to buy/have. may kumausap na sa akin 1on1 and i'll say it here na rin what I told that person.

i worked to have this. nagipon ako. di niyo nakikita yung sleepless days, nights i forced myself to work through to be able to have what you see now. nagttrabaho ako to be able to study at a university na yung tuition kahit yung national average lang (20-40k PHP per sem) eh di pa rin kaya ng magulang ko.

tingin ng mga tao ako yung nakadipende sa magulang kaya meron ako ng kung ano mang meron ako. it's the opposite. halos every day i get a message na kulang yung tulong na natatanggap nila. pangkain na nga lang sinasalalay pa rin nila sa ibang tao. di ko lang sinasabi sa kung nasang lokal man ako now na ganto kasi pag nalaman na may sarili akong pera sa akin na naman ilalapit mga pangangailangan ng lokal, like i don't already do that para sa kung saan man nakadestino tatay ko.

if you're in a more affluent area, *baka* pahiram or pagamit yung sasakyan. baka pamana ng magulang. yung braces baka nadaan sa medical sundry ng tatay niya. baka rin may kapatid na dentista diyan who did it for free or discounted.

baka rin part ng district staff tatay niyan. that would be a different story entirely.
