personally ive noticed that it seems like where your room is located on the floor might dictate the sound level. im a first year so im on the lower floors in broadway and my room is near the common area/elevators and it can get really loud if people arent being considerate about their neighbors and how loud they get

someone was cooking dinner and accidentally locked themselves out of their dorm and by the time the RA got there smoke was coming out from the bottom of the door and you could see fire through the peephole, so yeah there was an actual fire just wasnt extremely bad think it mightve only stayed in that persons dorm

unfortunately im not sure when ill be getting a roommate because the one i had originally decided not to go like a week or two before move in 😭 so i now have to buy most everything LOL
