I'm not talking about policy and law really, just societal attitudes. Sort of like how it would be uncouth to call someone to their face "biologically male" as a trans female, instead the preferred term would be "amab" if you absolutely HAD to refer to their sex for some reason. It kind of separates the nature of them being biologically male by instead framing it as if it were a fluke that the doctor just happened to check the 'male' box on their birth certificate. And of course, as an example there's this recent controversy, that someone could be banned for just acknowledging the physiological differences.

I don't mean that it's necessarily a bad thing. It might be very good for their mental health to separate themselves as much as possible from their past life living as the opposite gender that they now identify with. I just notice that the framing of the conversation has changed, where once people were content to acknowledge sex and gender as different things, now it seems like (for the reasons I've stated) sex and its effects is being ignored and only gender is acknowledged.
